The Hastings Comedy Festival has finished and we hear an Encore! Join us for a fantastic night of live comedy at the White Rock Studio with one of the UK’s best comedians on the circuit right now, Russell Hicks! Russell will be sharing the night with a few hilarious friends to make this comedy night legitimately, one NOT to miss.

Russell Hicks is one of the UK’s most razor-sharp and exciting comic talents. An American based in London, he is a provocative and exuberant comedian known for his masterful improvisation, and has appeared on some of the UK’s biggest TV networks, including Channel 4, BBC and ITV. Fresh from winning the Prague Fringe Festival 2024, Russell is on tour across the UK.

His masterful weaving of improvisation with material has earned him a devoted following, with hundreds of thousands of followers across social media.

Russell headlines at every major club across the UK, including The Stand, Glee Club, and Up the Creek, and holds a residency at Top Secret Comedy Club in London. He also compères major events like the Leeds and Reading Festivals, as well as curated indie venues, historic theatres like the Hammersmith Apollo, and private members clubs across Europe.

He starred in the Prime Video series Lovestruck High, which was narrated by Lindsay Lohan, as the loveable Texan, Coach Hughes. He’s written for and starred in ITV’s Stand Up Sketch Show and won the Channel 4 competition series Captive Audience with his fully improvised style.

We are super excited to team up with both the White Rock Theatre and Off the Kerb to bring you a new live stand up comedy event in Hastings, showcasing the very best in stand up comedy.

Angela Barnes swapped a career in health and social care for stand-up in 2010 and hasn’t looked back. Within just a couple of years she had won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2011 and toured around the country with her stand-up shows. Her recent show Hot Mess toured nationwide. Angela has starred in BBC Two’s Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo, House of Games, and Hypothetical on Dave. She is a firm favourite on BBC Radio 4, having featured on The Now Show and The News Quiz – including a recent stint as the host. She has also hosted BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack.

Originally from Canada, Bobby Mair is a uniquely talented stand-up comedian that can set any comedy room ablaze. Winner of multiple comedy competitions, Bobby has opened for global touring comedians, including Bill Burr, Bill Maher, and Doug Stanhope. Since moving to the UK, he has established himself as a stand-out headliner with many TV appearances, including Roast Battle (Comedy Central), 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), and Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three). He was also the host of the reality horror show, Killer Camp (ITV2), and starred in the reality sitcom, Bobby and Harriet: Get Married (Vice).

Born and raised in Belfast to a Malaysian father and Irish mother, Peter Rethinasamy is a comedian with hard-hitting, punchy jokes, and hilarious tales of growing up in Northern Ireland. Since he started performing stand-up, he has reached the semi-finals of the Laughing Horse New Act Competition and won the London Comedy Store’s King Gong Competition. He is also resident MC at Fulham Comedy Club and cementing himself as a must-see act on the circuit. Combining his love of comedy writing and acting. He is soon to be seen on Comedy Central Live in March and has supported Seann Walsh and Kerry Godliman on tour around the UK.

Chloe is an alumna of the prestigious Pleasance Comedy Reserve, has been shortlisted for the BBC Comedy Award, was a finalist of Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year Awards 2017 and came runner-up in the Funny Women Awards 2017. She will be supporting Ed Gamble on his 2022 UK Tour Electric.

She was recently seen on ITV’s Jonathan Ross’s Comedy Club, Dave’s Hypothetical.
