Coming in for your dress fitting? Here’s what you need to bring to make the most of your appointment:
❤️ The exact shoes you’ll wear on the day (or a pair with the same heel height). This is essential so the dressmaker can set your hem at the right length.
❤️ Your petticoat or underskirt – especially important if your dress has a full skirt. A hooped or netted underskirt can lift the layers of the hem by up to 2–3 inches, which makes a big difference to the final fit.
❤️ Bra, underwear, or shapewear – this is the foundation for your dress and can really transform the way it fits. Aim for n**e tones that match your skin, as white or ivory can sometimes show through, while n**e will disappear under your gown.
❤️ Accessories like your veil, tiara, belt or jewellery – these small details can completely change the look of your neckline or overall outfit, and will help you visualise your full bridal look.
❤️ The person who will be helping you get dressed on the day – we’ll show them exactly how to get you into the dress and fasten it up properly, so there are no surprises when it matters most.
❤️ Some of our brides even try to time their hair and makeup trial for the same day, so they can see everything come together and get a true feel for the full look.
