Back to the future! Back in the day I played many a set on one of these bad boys before I had enough cash to get a set of 1210s. Then just over a year ago I picked up this absolute workhorse from the 80s. I then bought another one for spares and ended up having them both fully restored. This is the first one now ready for use.

I’m gearing up to smash out a little set on it very soon but attempting a mix on these is a different beast with its belt driven turntables.

Check out this mix from my old friend Jay Friction. A beautifully crafted lesson in house music!

Deep house isn’t just music to me—it’s soul. It’s the kind of sound that lifts you out of your body and drops you into another plane, another universe, another state of mind where nothing exists excep

History!

History!

1990. I was 15. Bottom of the flyer. A few went the distance as DJs. Sadly most never.

Ame on this flyer is Eamon Liquid who we sadly lost this year. I miss you mate ❤️

Jinja on this flyer was the “Funky Ginge”. Who is no longer with us. A gentleman.

Every person on this flyer has a story to tell. I could never envisaged in 1990 I would release Frosts book, or release mix albums by Kenny, and work with them both to this day.

Without the influence of Vinyl Matt and Adrian Age my style for 35 years wouldn’t be complete in its delivery.

At this point in time. The emerging London breakbeat scene pre “Hardcore & Jungle” was small, but seemed so big as a 15 year old.

Summer of 1990 the weekly London scene was sparse. Before even Telepathy, Innersense or AWOL.

Weekly clubs that went the distance beyond 3 to 6 months. Were few and far between (Rage / Orange / Dungeons / Labrynth-2000AD).

Kool FM / Weekend Rush / Eruption as pirates hadn’t begun.

It truly was a secret society. So small yet so influential.

I was in the right place, at the right time. The rest was up to me. Go the distance, or have an amazing moment in time you can cherish forever. I chose both!
