This wedding season has been wildly flowery in so many ways - busy, hot (oh so hot) full of colour, lovely couples, venues and suppliers. I’m so behind with posting and received these gorgeous photos from my wonderful bride weeks ago and couldn’t pick a favourite so decided to post them all!

Coral sunset was the theme, mid June for flower guide (coral charm peonies bringing it!) and we had such fun time at Saltdean lido. Thanks to team The Sussex Flower Studio Sussex wedding and events florist and also got Ali back for a day! Ali Trower

A summery wildflower style bouquet with a few personal additions for the couple. White heather (after a lengthy and ultimately unsuccessful search I bought a tray of plants and wired cuttings into stems - thanks Tom Brown Wholesale Florist), gorgeous small headed sunflowers and sea holly (as well as almost everything else via the brilliant Big Field Flowers bigfieldflowers - a few miles from me in Sussex.

Last week was a killer honestly - heatwave no 5 in the UK and lots of late nights and early mornings rescuing flowers by searing and working when it cooled down. It’s been a mad summer! And here we are in the late days of summer 2026 - flowers as always reflecting this seasonal shift - enter richer deeper colours - dahlias, cosmos and zinnias showing up. Yummy. One of my fav times.

Posting as it happens or I’ll forget! Today was a pretty one, mainly local and seasonal Sussex flowers to tie in with a ceremony beautiful gardens.

The bouquet was a mix of dahlias, cosmos, flowering mint and echinacea (I just love it!)

One bouquet - many angles and photos 💐

I’ve been so lucky to have a run of wonderful June weddings full of bright colours, fragrant flowers and for lovely people. 🫶 A bit behind on posting though - this was a week ago at and I another go at the coral charm peonies which for all their stress to perfect, just bring it every time! 🎉

The low hold, the arm hold and the twirl all featured.

British flowers week is ending and I was too busy to post anything considered. It’s always British flowers week for me though! I love using British flowers, colour, fragrance, unruly bendy stems, grown a few mins away, I’m in awe of all the growers who do an amazing job in all weathers!

A gorgeous wedding weekend working with the loveliest couple and family - who very excitingly shared my love of bright colour and the newly renovated lido ballroom was the perfect place to showcase our sunset inspired plan for the wedding flowers 🌅

A random selection of pics as not over thinking it with a curated reel, I overthink and then the moment passes! I love using colourful joyful flowers and this was just perfect and felt so happy. The lido is a community space, reopened after campaigning by local residents and is clearly cherished as was a hive of activity all weekend. I loved that all of life was going on amidst the wedding - swimming, exercising, kids parties … tea and cake in the cafe. And the lido team couldn’t have been nicer to us - the event team thank you, and special thanks to Jess who helped me and my daughter clear everything up today 🙏

A wedding weekend full of bouquets and 100% British grown local flowers. Thanks lots of beauties but this week’s stand outs for me: peonies, delphiniums and sweet peas. Hello June 👋

A beautifully scented seasonal summer bouquet.

Using only delicate pale shades of ivory, cream and blush. See, I do have range! And I am not adverse to a floaty sweet pea, luxurious rose or a huge ruffly peony. All the summer flowery hits.

The bridal bouquet - always my favourite thing to make 💐 This wedding was so fun to work on. It’s no secret I love colour so being asked to bring ALL the colour to the day was perfect for me. And to use sunflowers! Yippee! I found the cutest mini ones called Sunova as sometimes find a normal sunflower can almost overpower a bouquet but these were perfect.🌻Lots of fun choosing everything and creating this explosion of bright colours for a really lovely couple. 🌈 - I made wrist corsages, a floral pocket and even got the bright - bright vases out.💥

Jess’s bouquet - the ‘it takes a village bouquet!’ Looking different in every light against every backdrop. The best of May - the first sweet peas via the first pink peonies and the last butterfly ranunculus all trying to steal the limelight. I also collected a selection from Jess’s mums garden - white peonies and fragrant garden roses. As well as jasmine foliage from my mums garden … since she’s been ill (Alzheimer’s) it’s become like the secret garden from the story - wild and uncontrollable but good for a florist looking to snip a few bits (silver linings!). Working with the idea of saying it (Alzheimer’s) will get easier the more I do it. Anyhow this resulting bouquet was a very May, very personal bouquet for a truly lovely couple 💚 - and of this week, of this exact place.
