🚨 LAST CALL FOR AUDITION PACKS! 🚨

Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Stage! Auditions for The Wizard of Oz Pantomime with Hartlepool Stage Society are happening this week, and time is running out to get your forms in.

📁 Audition forms are due THIS Tuesday, September 1st! Request your pack immediately so you don't miss out.

Key Audition Dates & Times:

Tuesday, Sept 1 (7:30 PM – 9:30 PM): Audition prep, material collection, sing-through, & ALL-ATTEND Ensemble Auditions

Thursday, Sept 3 (7:30 PM – 9:30 PM): ALL-ATTEND Dance Auditions (Wear appropriate dance attire!)

Sunday, Sept 6 (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM): Individual Lib & Vocal Auditions (10-minute slots; individual times posted Sept 3)

78 years of showstoppers, backstage magic, and community spirit — and now we’re opening the next chapter. 🎭✨

From our humble beginnings in 1953 as the Hartlepool Gilbert & Sullivan Society to the thriving, multi-genre, award-winning society we are today, we’ve spent nearly eight decades bringing local talent, unforgettable music, and world-class theatre to our town.

To mark this incredible journey, we’re thrilled to unveil our brand-new logo!

See how our visual identity has grown right alongside us — from our original 1953 crest, to a 1990s makeover, the iconic 2000s badge which has served us well through recent times, and finally, our bold new look designed to carry us far into the future.

Crafted to reflect the exceptional calibre of talent on our stage, our new logo brings a polished, professional finish that mirrors the high standards our audiences expect. It establishes a bold, prestigious visual identity—one that truly honours the dedication of our company and our standing in Hartlepool's vibrant cultural community.

While our look may be evolving, our core mission remains unchanged: championing local talent, building a welcoming theatre family, and putting on spectacular shows for Hartlepool audiences.

There’s No Place Like the Theatre: The Wizard of Oz Tickets Now on General Sale!

Grab your family and follow the yellow brick road! General ticket sales are officially open from today for Hartlepool Stage Society’s brand-new original pantomime, The Wizard of Oz. Prepare to be transported to a world of enchantment as Dorothy, Toto, and a colourful cast of characters journey past the Good and Wicked Witches toward the Emerald City. Expect side-splitting panto humour, lively musical numbers, and brilliant costumes in a show that promises top-tier entertainment for all ages this November.

Dates: November 19–21 (Matinee: Saturday, Nov 21 at 1:30 pm)

There is no place like Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre this November! 🌪️✨

Presale for our brand-new original pantomime production, The Wizard of Oz, is officially LIVE!

We kicked off presale yesterday at the 103rd Hartlepool Headland Carnival. Our Junior section wowed the crowds on the Carnival stage before changing into colourful costumes for the annual costume competition. Members of the society dressed up as all your favourite characters from Kansas to Oz—including Dorothy, Aunt Em, the Good and Wicked Witches, and the citizens of the Emerald City.

If you only had a brain, a heart, or the courage, you’d know not to miss this! Click your silver shoes together and skip straight to the box office before tickets get whisked away in a cyclone.

Show Dates: 19th–21st November (with Matinee performance Sat 21st Nov at 1:30pm)
