Colette + Darryl got married on Friday at Arundel Town Hall, and honestly, what a lovely wedding this was.
Just their favourite people, loads of laughs, loads of chatting, a few emotional moments, and everyone properly enjoying themselves from start to finish. Micro weddings always have such a nice feel to them. Relaxed, fun and all about the people.
One of my favourite things about Arundel Town Hall is the balcony where you can actually have your ceremony, and that’s exactly what these two did. Such a beautiful spot to get married, and it makes the whole day feel really unique as everyone looks out over Arundel while you say your vows.
Afterwards, we wandered through the streets of Arundel while everyone was still riding the post-ceremony buzz and headed off for drinks and celebrations. Such a fun Friday with two very lovely humans.

Last Sunday, I made the trip up to London for Alex and Matt’s wedding at the The Trafalgar Tavern and this one was an absolute belter from start to finish.
The whole day just felt so them. Relaxed, loud, fun and completely full of energy. A proper London wedding with incredible views across the river, black cabs rolling through Greenwich, pints flowing, loads of laughter and a room full of people who were clearly so excited to celebrate these two.
And then the ceilidh dancing started… and all sense of personal space disappeared instantly 😂
There was spinning, shouting, nearly falling over, people charging in the wrong direction and honestly some of the funniest dance floor moments I’ve seen in a long time. Even the guests who looked terrified at first were fully committed about ten minutes later. That’s always when you know the party is going to go off properly.
I absolutely love weddings like this. No pressure to make things perfect. Just people fully living in the moment, having a laugh and making memories together.
Alex and Matt, you legends. What a Saturday 🖤

I caught up with Liz and Ben recently for their engagement shoot ahead of their wedding in May, and it was such a good one.
We headed out to Ashdown Forest for a relaxed wander, keeping things easy and natural. No stiff posing, just the two of them (and their super cute pooch, Nessa) having a great time while I captured it all as it happened.
Nessa absolutely stole the show, running around and bringing all the energy, which just made everything feel even more fun and real.
If this is anything to go by, their May wedding is going to be a great day.

I’m a photographer…
and if I only had 4 photos to get you to follow me, it’d be these.
Not the posed ones.
The real ones.
The laughs, the hugs, the little in-between moments you didn’t even notice at the time.
That’s what matters.
If that’s your vibe, you’ll like it here.

Candid wedding photography gets thrown around a lot
But most people think it means
“a few natural photos during the day”
For me… it’s everything
It’s how I shoot your whole wedding
No stopping moments to recreate them
No turning your day into a photoshoot
No pressure to be anything other than yourselves
You get to enjoy your day
Properly
While I capture it as it actually felt
The chaos
The laughs
The in-between moments
The bits you didn’t even realise were happening

That’s where the real story is

And yeah… we’ll still grab some couples photoS
If that sounds like your kind of day
Drop me a message and let’s chat

Greenwich was the setting for this engagement session with Matt and Alex, and it turned into one of those shoots that just flows from the start.
We met up by the Trafalgar Tavern and kicked things off with a wander through the streets. No strict plan. Just exploring, chatting about the wedding, and stopping whenever we found a good bit of light or a spot that looked fun.
That’s usually how these sessions go. We walk, talk, laugh a lot, and I quietly grab photos along the way. Before long the camera disappears into the background and it just feels like three people out for a stroll around Greenwich.
We eventually made our way towards Greenwich Market, weaving through the little streets and corners that make that part of London so good for photos. Every few minutes we’d spot another backdrop, another bit of colour, another pocket of light worth stopping for.
What I love about sessions like this is how relaxed everything feels. There’s no pressure to “perform” for the camera. It’s just about hanging out and capturing the two of them as they are together.
Matt and Alex absolutely smashed it. Loads of laughs, loads of great moments, and now I’m even more excited to photograph their wedding when the big day rolls around.

So I’ve been getting back into the swing of things for the 2026 season.
That means one thing… engagement shoots are back on the calendar.
I met up with Chris and Jenny in Brighton for their session and a proper catch up ahead of their summer wedding.
We wandered around, had a laugh, chatted about the plans for the day, and grabbed some great photos along the way.
Honestly, sessions like this are always one of my favourite parts of the build up to a wedding.
It’s relaxed.
No pressure.
Just a chance for us to hang out, get to know each other a bit more, and create some brilliant images before the big day rolls around.

Steal 10 minutes.
Honestly. That’s the whole tip.
Right after your ceremony, before everyone piles in for hugs and your auntie has you locked into selfie number 38… sneak off.
Just you two.
No posing.
No big photoshoot.
No one watching.
Go for a little wander.
Have a laugh about how nervous you were.
Say “we’re actually married?!” about five times.
Take a proper breath.
I always build this into the timeline. And every single time, it ends up being one of my couple’s favourite parts of the day.
Not because I’m there with a camera.
But because it’s the first quiet moment where it properly sinks in.
You’re married.
And you get to feel it.

Most couples worry about where their photos will happen.
I’m usually more interested in when.
Good light does a lot of the work for us. It softens everything.
It takes the pressure off. It means you don’t have to pose or perform.
It helps to create great shadow and light detail, dapples the light in woodland spaces and can create awesome back lighting.
That’s why I plan couple photos later in the day whenever I can. The light is kinder. You’ve settled into the day. You’re not thinking about timelines or nerves anymore. You’re just together.
When the timing is right, photos don’t feel like a big task. We take a short wander, have a laugh, and you’re back with your guests before you even realise we’ve been gone.
This is the kind of thing I help plan early on, so on the day you’re not guessing or squeezing things in. You just enjoy the moment and let it happen.
Get the best most relaxed images on your day, is one of my key focuses

Planning a timeline for the day can be stressful, but I have advice to help make that planning much easier.
I help couples build wedding day timelines that work in real life. Not the Pinterest-perfect kind that fall apart by 9:17am.
Wedding days always run a little off plan. Someone forgets something. Nerves kick in. Hugs last longer than expected. That’s all part of it. I plan for that stuff.
I always leave breathing room. Time to wake up properly. Time to enjoy the morning. Time to actually hug people after the ceremony instead of being marched off for photos.
I plan photos around good light, not pressure. When the light is right, everything feels easier. Less posing. Less awkward standing around. More walking, laughing, and being yourselves while I quietly do my thing.
A relaxed timeline changes the whole vibe. You’re calmer. You’re more present. The photos end up feeling natural because you felt natural.
This planning starts as soon as you book me. It’s a big part of my job, long before I pick up a camera.

When the timeline works, the day flows.
And you get to enjoy your wedding instead of running it.
Would this be helpful for your wedding day?
