Join us for a fabulous evening of music, food and dancing while raising money for Martin House Children's Hospice ✨

Darcey’s Ball is a charity ball held in memory of Harrogate girl Darcey, who had been diagnosed with a genetic condition, received care at Martin House before she passed away in 2015. The ball marks 10 years since she passed away and her family would like to raise further funds to support Martin House.

We heard rumours that you would love a swap shop at the Le Creuset UK sale, and we are very excited to reveal the location!

The official swap shop for VIP ticketholders to trade Mystery Box items will take place on Saturday 27 September between 10am – 12pm.

The rumours are true! The Great Yorkshire Showground featured in Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale. 👏 🎬

Our events team from the Great Yorkshire Events Centre had multiple meetings with producers to ensure we found the right location for them and it was a real privilege to host such a prestigious production.

Scenes shot at the Showground were based on the Yorkshire County Show, set in 1930, using both permanent and temporary structures on site.

Jim Carter who plays Mr Carson told ITV This Morning that he was born in Harrogate and even learned to ride his bike at the Showground.

The collecting ring used by riders warming up to compete at the Great Yorkshire Show, was also used as part of the film.
