When planning your wedding and considering the theme, colours and styling, there is only one thing I always say you have to do:

Choose a style, colour or theme that complements you, your partner and your relationship.

Your theme doesn’t have to just be a colour you like or is currently trending, there are ways to incorporate your favourite things into the day...

Sometimes just a nod to a theme is the right way to go, for example, my household is a HUGE Liverpool FC supporter, so red would be important to the day. If bright Liverpool red is not your thing, perhaps deepen the tone and choose a more of wine, or a burgundy. Or pink it up with a raspberry.

Using the colour across floral arrangements, linens, dresses and ties would bring it all together.

Perhaps you love Game of Thrones (who doesn’t?!) and want to find a way to weave this in. Think icy and winter.

Look at your hairstyle and incorporate plaits and get a beautiful faux fur coat to wear. Consider feasting tables, hire in goblets for your drinks and use lots of candles in your decor. There are also some beautiful trees you can use on your table design or even go big around the venue.

The theme is there, the nod to the personality and passion is there, in a beautiful and subtle way.
