Police Scotland

Want to make a real difference in your community? Join the Police Scotland Youth Volunteers (PSYV) and be part of something amazing!

Police Scotland told us, “We’re looking for enthusiastic, committed young people from across Lanarkshire who want to learn new skills and meet new people. 💙

✅ Aged 13–15
✅ Willing to learn
✅ Keen to help in your community
✅ Able to attend regular meetings & events

As a Youth Volunteer, you’ll:

👮‍♀️ Learn about policing
🤝 Support your community
🎯 Build confidence & life skills
🚀 Have fun and make new friends!

They added, “We are also looking for adult volunteers (18+) who would like to be part of supporting our young people in the PSYV Programme. If you’re passionate about making a positive impact and are interested in a rewarding experience, this is the perfect opportunity to help young people grow while developing your own skills along the way.”

“We currently have two PSYV groups in Lanarkshire that meet on a Thursday evening:

We are absolutely delighted to get started soon on critical urgent repairs to St Mary's Episcopal Church, Hamilton.

Our application to the National Churches Trust was successful and we are very grateful to receive these much needed funds from the Cherish grants programme and Wolfson Foundation (£13,280 total).

Works will start on 1st September 2025 so be aware that there will be slight restrictions and signage for your safety and our contractors coming from the car park at the front of the church to entrance to St Marys for all.

More fundraising is still needed for boundary wall repairs so please support where you can. Purchase from our charity table or hand in any donations to the church or to the reception at St Mary's for All. All gladly received !

Back to school once again 😉....if you're kids go to St. Mary's primary school in Hamilton and you're at a loose end for an hour in the morning why not pop in to the beech tree cafe next to St. Mary's Episcopal church for a no doubt we'll needed coffee 🫶 and treat yourself to a cake you definitely deserve it💪❤️
