❤️ A Little Update From Lorraine & Ian ❤️

After many chats together lately, Ian and I have decided to make a few gentle changes to Little House On The Meadow and our lovely Cake Shed.

What started as a little side hobby has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined, and we are so incredibly grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown us along the way.

Alongside Little House On The Meadow, we both have full-time careers, Ian works full-time as a Mechanical Engineer and I work full-time as a Lead Busness Operations Specialist for a Clinical Research Organisation. The Cake Shed is something we fit around our working week, often baking and packing late into the evenings and through the night, before very early starts the next morning. In addition, there's the Celebration Cake orders & Buffet Catering bookings we fulfil each week 🎂 🍗 🥗 ☺️

As much as we absolutely love what we’ve created, the workload behind the scenes has become huge.

This weekend reminded us just how precious family time is. We spent Friday and Saturday with our youngest daughter in Basingstoke enjoying dinner, cocktails, late-night bowling and a little too much shopping! 🥰 So much fun, that I forgot to take any pics 😆

Then on Sunday we had a wonderful day making memories with our grandson.

Those moments mean everything to us.

To help create a healthier balance and make more special family memories, we’ll be introducing some regular weekend Cake Shed closures. This will also allow some time to exhibit at more Farmers Markets throughout the year and some MIDWEEK OPENINGS too !!

This way, going forward, we can continue doing what we love in a way that is sustainable for the future.

As usual, We’ll always post any closures, opening dates and menus on our Facebook and Instagram pages, so please keep following us for updates.

We will, of course, still be accepting orders for celebration cakes, catering and our other party services.

Thank you for always supporting our little dream and understanding that behind every bake are just Ian and I, doing our very best for our wonderful customers and bringing joy to the community ❤️

This weekend’s menu looks a little different… ❤️

Instead of cakes, cookies and sweet treats, we’re serving up a menu of rest, relaxation, family time, laughter and making memories. 🥰

After a very busy few months, we’re taking a little break this weekend to recharge our batteries and spend some precious time with our loved ones.

Thank you, as always, for your incredible support, kindness and encouragement. It truly means the world to us.

We’ll be back with a bang on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June for our World Cup Weekend ⚽️
We look forward to seeing you all for an action packed, treat filled weekend 🥰

Just a little reminder that we will always try, where possible, to accommodate last-minute celebration cake orders ❤️

This particular order came through yesterday morning, and by 6:30 a.m. this morning it was finished, boxed, and ready for collection 🎂🍓

Whilst we can’t guarantee availability at short notice, if you need a cake in a hurry it’s always worth asking.
If we can help, we absolutely will. 🥰

This beautiful Peach Crumble was specially requested by one of our lovely customers, Pennie ❤️

Packed full of juicy peaches and topped with a golden buttery crumble, it’s one of those comforting desserts that brings a little taste of home with every spoonful.

Serve warm with cream, custard or ice cream… or simply enjoy it just as it is! 🥰
