You love your gown, but something feels slightly offā€¦.

Sometimes it can be the dress of your dreams but thereā€™s just a little something that isnā€™t quite right! In this case the sweetheart neckline just wasnā€™t the right cut for my bride, she preferred a straighter neckline. Due to the bodice depth and generous cups we were able to lower it and create the new neckline.

Sheā€™s off for a special bridal clean now as she was an off the peg gown, once sheā€™s back weā€™ll post pics or her looking crisp and clean šŸ˜

Trusting the process is so important!

Sometimes we canā€™t really show you how itā€™s going to look or feelā€¦..that little scrap of fabric we add in is just a template for us to go off and create your dream dress ā¤ļø

This back was super low, it looked great, BUT, most importantly my bride didnā€™t feel comfortable, so we raised the back by 3.5ā€ tapering from under the arms, across the back and adding new buttons and loops to fasten šŸ˜ā€¦..and now it doesnā€™t just look great, it looks absolutely fabulous!

The internal structure of your gown is so important, especially if youā€™re a lady blessed up top! Itā€™s a big job to add boning retrospectively, but sometimes absolutely necessary, it changes the shape and aesthetic of your gown completely and the girls šŸ˜‰ will look great, and safe all day long!

This gorgeous bride went into panic mode when 2 separate seamstresses told her that the work she needed ā€˜couldnā€™tā€™ be doneā€¦.

Yes lifting a fishtail hem with a foot deep lace is a big job, and no, it wouldnā€™t have looked right for us to just put the lace back on as it wasā€¦ā€¦.so we recut the lace, and tapered it out to rejoin the original depth at the sides to continue into the train. Can you tellā€¦..NO! Does it look great, YES!

Wellā€¦.what can we say šŸ«£ Iā€™ve dreamt, undone and redone this gown in my head (several times), and then finally actually got to work on it, not at all in the way Iā€™d planned (in my head šŸ¤£).

The bodice was not a good fit, at all. Far too wide on the bust, and the square neckline didnā€™t sit well, the straps too chunky and the back too high. The opposite problem on the skirtā€¦..the draping was too tight creating a really stiff look and not at all the soft drapery that the bride envisioned.

So, wellā€¦ā€¦I took her all apart, I mean everything! Recut the bodice and the straps, put darts under the boning on the bodice and lowered the back. Relaid the draping on the skirt with the excess in the seams and then put her all back together. Andā€¦.she looks fabulous!!!!!! šŸ˜

Just the bustles left to go and sheā€™s all finished ā˜ŗļø
