Here are a few important updates to note:

• Our diary is now closed for the foreseeable future. Any new availability will be announced via our website and email newsletter.

As promised in my last post, I have some special news to share… 🥹

In 2024, I pressed pause on Abigail Lucy Design to focus on what truly matters most.

I’m so excited to share that my husband and I are expecting a baby - trusting that life’s timing really is everything. We couldn’t be more grateful for this blessing.

With this little love on the way, I’ve decided to extend this season of slowing down, which means I won’t be reopening the doors of Abigail Lucy Design this year. (Sorry to my fellow event profs who reached out after my last post all excited! 🤣)

This chapter of my life is all about family, presence, and exploring new business moves that set my soul on fire again - but most importantly, ones that support this season of motherhood without compromising my freedom.

We’ll continue to honour commitments with our regular HNW clients, but for the foreseeable future, our diary will remain closed for new bookings.

I’m not yet sure what the future of AL will look like, but I promise to keep you all in the loop.

Hi IG family,

It’s been a while - 12 months, to be exact. Time has truly flown! Last year, I made the bold decision to take a year-long sabbatical from my business after a difficult healing journey in my personal life. As I began to feel like myself again, I realized just how precious life is, and I wanted to embrace the slow lane - soaking up quality time with my family and making priceless memories.

Over the past year, I’ve focused on upgrading my home and lifestyle, creating freedom-based systems that will allow me to step back into the business world without compromising my mental health, well-being, or time with my family.

These 12 months have also given me space to explore passions outside of events, which has been incredibly refreshing. It has taught me more than I ever could have imagined about myself. Who knew that slowing down could be so transformative?

Truthfully, making the decision to step away from my business was terrifying—almost like a grieving process. I think only other business owners will truly understand that. I worried I’d lose my drive, that I’d deeply miss the fast-paced world of events… but instead, I found exactly what I needed. And now, if (or when) I do return fully, I know my approach to business will be forever changed.

A Pretty Pink Birthday Party for our lovely client ‘S’ in a private residence situated directly opposite Buckingham Palace! 👑

Our client was visiting London with her family and friends for her birthday, and wanted a truly British experience. We spent weeks viewing prestigious properties across London, trying to find the perfect one.

We had a very specific brief with several non-negotiable requirements that we had to meet - so finding a property that met all of our clients needs from an accommodation aspect, but also, one that worked for the birthday gathering we were planning took us quite some time. But finally we found the perfect place, a luxurious penthouse with Buckingham palace (literally) on it’s door step. It was stone throw away! And what’s more British than our Queenies Palace?! 🇬🇧💂🏻‍♀️

Here we threw a beautiful birthday brunch for our client and her nearest, and dearest. We filled the living and dining area with clusters of balloons and flowers. (Just enough) to make an subtle statement! 🎈

It sure does. Weddings and events, are all about team work, they are creative collaborations between us, our artisan providers and our clients.

The event season has now officially finished **pours a large glass of mulled wine and takes a sip** and it is now time for us to catch up on our remaining admin for 2022… **pours another large glass of mulled wine & takes a sip** 😂🍷

This 2022 season has taken us to four breathtaking destinations across the world - alongside experiencing some of the UK’s most exquisite venues. From sandy beaches to glass marquees in the English countryside. It has been a fabulous, wild, non-stop year, filled with beauty, immense challenges, endless hours and joyous moments. We have magically managed to squeeze in twice as many weddings as a typical year, ensuring that the couples who had postponed their weddings during Covid finally got the day of their dreams, as well as pouring our hearts and souls into supporting all the couples who had chosen 2022 as their date.

2022 has tested our limits, taught us value lessons and pushed us to make some big business changes. We’ve have been featured in prestigious magazines and blogs, we’ve been named by Britain’s best selling wedding magazine as ‘Top 10 Planners in UK’ and ‘Top 100 Planners in the World’, we have been finalists for a fabulous award. We have survived and we have grown. We’re incredibly grateful for all of the beautiful couples we’ve had the pleasure of working with, and the talented suppliers who have helped us bring our clients visions to life.

Our diary for 2023 is open, we are already fully booked for Jan & Feb, and have limited availability for April.
