Hi - Giddy Goose is coming back next year Jan, Feb and March. However, almost all sold out already as priority given to those who were attending the evenings that were cancelled earlier this year. But - I have 6 places left for our Burns Supper on Jan 25th, so if you would like to come place LMK, asap. Even numbers only please so I dont get left with a single. :)

The Giddy Goose made a seasonal return to Gullane on Saturday night after a long summer and autumnal break. We went with a mainly Italian themed Christmas menu. On the whole it worked out pretty well - most importantly the egg yolk ravioli’s turned out nicely 😀, the porchetta main course was variable!! not all of them turned out as neat as the one in the photo below 😉 but it seemed to taste well regardless. The Zuppa Inglese dessert is not an English Soup as the name suggests! But is instead, an Italian trifle - nice job Chef Alan! Thanks to everyone who came out to support the supper club again and thanks to my wonderful staff (this time including both mum and dad) for helping the night go smoothly. GG

Hi all, hope you've had an enjoyable summer. The Giddy Goose has been away off around the globe enjoying cooler climates - it gets too hot for her here in Costa del Gullane! ;)
However, I hear the flapping of distant wings and she's heading home for winter so - despite virtually no public demand whatsoever - the Giddy Goose is coming back for 3 nights only over the winter months. Dates are Dec 22nd, Jan 27th and Feb 24th. Per last year there are 32 seats each evening, arranged in 4 tables of 6 and one of 8. Of course you don't have to book a whole table, you can book in smaller groups and you'll be sat with other lovely Giddy Goosers. Menu's will be decided nearer the time, but obviously Dec will have an Xmas theme and Jan will have a Burns element. Price this year will be £35 p.p. (maybe a bit less for vegetarian option depending on what it is).
You were all very kind in supporting the The Giddy Goose Supper Club last year so I hope the dates are convenient and you'll be able to do so at least once this year.

Hi there, sorry for delay in posting this, but we had the final Giddy Goose Supper Club of the current run last Saturday night. It was a fabulous night with a special tasting menu, prize draws, auction and lots of wonderful guests. Before I announce how much we have raised for the Gullane Day Care centre there are people to whom many thanks are due!
Julie for allowing us to use the fantastic Goose on the Green, it was a perfect venue!
All the wonderful waiting staff - Rachel, Josie, Katie, Anna, Alastair and my neice’s Katie and Skye.
Ben on pot wash was a hero!
Our charismatic bar men - Greg, Michael and Max.
My neighbours who have helped with prep and kitchen service, Sarah and Terri, also my cousin Colin
My mum and dad for help loading and unloading car, setting up the tables and clearing away several times.
Super Mario for his 2 amazing Bar Roma nights.
And my guest chefs - Ben my friend from cookery school, Richard Yarrow, Alex for the Spanish night and of course a huge thanks to my friend and neighbour Alan, for helping me several times and especially for the first and last nights which launched and closed the supper club perfectly.

The tables for last week were auctioned off to try and raise even more money for the Day Care Centre and to encourage higher bids we had a prize draw. So, many thanks indeed to our local foodie businesses who very generously contributed prizes:
The Main Course (who also donated the ice cream for Bar Roma dessert last April)
The Old Clubhouse
Greywalls
Goose on the Green
Cherish
Gullane Superfry.
And also a huge thanks to Tom Kitchin and the staff of the Bonnie Badger for providing the welcome bubbles and canapés to get our evening off to a magical start.

All profits since the first supper club in January last year will be donated to the Day Care Centre. Prior to our final event we had a little over £2,000 in the kitty. Thanks to the generosity of everyone in bidding for tables and the special auction at the end of the night the final, total amount raised is £3,287. Many, many thanks to everyone, from Gullane and further afield, who has supported the supper club in the last 15 months for helping to raise such a fantastic amount.

As for future Giddy Goose nights, I am not making any definite decisions right now. It is definitely closing for at least 6 months. If circumstances allow we may do 2 or 3 during the winter months going forward, but as I say, we’ll see. Thanks, Fraser

Just over one day to go in the table auction for the final Giddy Goose Supper club in 2022/23 season. Reminder of menu below. There are also a variety of foodie related prizes to be drawn for which all guests will be entered into.

Reminder that all accumulated proceeds from the supper club as well as those from this auction special will go to Gullane Day Care Centre in early April.

Hi, any country music fans out there? I have 2 weekend tickets for the country to country festival, which is on this weekend in Glasgow. I can’t use them on Sunday now so wondered if anyone interested? The headline act on Sunday is Lady A (formerly Lady Antebellum), who are one of the top modern country bands. Hi Everyone, so as promised at the end of last year, we are now doing our Charity auction special at our March supper club event. It will be on Sat. 25th March. The auction is now live again and there’s some instructions below. But first some details.

Firstly the charity is Gullane Day Care Centre. All profits generated since day 1 of the supper club will be donated, this auction special is to try and make a final push for as much as possible.

I will be joined in the kitchen once again by my friend, neighbour and more pertinently, experienced chef / hotelier, Alan Reid. Together we have devised the special menu below which we hope will encourage you all to bid generously! Many thanks indeed to Tom Kitchin and the team at the Bonnie Badger for providing the canapés and bubbles! :)

As well as winning a table at the supper club, your successful bids also gain you entry to our prize draw. To be clear, there won’t be another auction on the night for these prizes. Instead all 32 people who attend will go into the hat and we’ll draw a winner for each prize. So hopefully that gives some extra value for your bid. Many thanks to our local foodie supporters for their kind donations. The prizes are:
