A bit of a surreal week!!!

One of my photographs has somehow ended up on the front cover of Mobiography Magazine and they were kind enough to feature me in an interview too.

As someone who spends a lot of time championing phone photography, it’s lovely to see images created on a phone being recognised alongside work made on every type of camera imaginable.

Between this and being a finalist in the World Food Photography Awards for the second year running, I’m feeling very grateful.

It’s also a good reminder that you don’t need the best equipment or the perfect plan. Just keep making the work you love, keep improving, and keep showing up. This year I feel like it’s finally all coming together!
Thank you Andy , I’m really honoured to part of the magazine and the phone photography community.
If you’d like to read the magazine which is jammed packed with features and inspiration, I’ll put a link in my story.

Wow 🤩 Another incredible night in London!! The weather was shocking and we travelled there and back in a day (still on the train) but what a wonderful experience and to be a finalist and see my photo up there on the wall surrounded by an amazing amount of talent was 🤩 but to actually come 3rd in the on the phone category with my Yorkshire grown mushrooms, well that is just magical!! Thank you for coming with me again and well done to all the shortlisters, finalists and winners! And thank you World Food Photography Awards and judges! I hope to be back again next year!!!

I’ve never had or used additional lenses for my iPhone but decided to try out the very affordable apexel 100 macro and I’m loving the quality of the results! This was taken with my iPhone16 pro max and edited in Snapseed.

I took a chance and entered again this year, and I’m thrilled one of my images made the shortlist!

Please go and enjoy all the categories: https://www.worldfoodphotographyawards.com/shortlist-2026/ — there are some incredible artists and images that really are a feast for your eyes.

What I love most about this competition is the diversity, the creativity, and the very humaness. Food connects us all in some way, and it’s wonderful to be involved in a space that celebrates it.

Went out for a walk with my camera this morning — just me, haven’t been out with it for ages and it was so lovely just down by the river looking at all the spring buds.

I also started a course this week with , which I’ve been wanting to do for years. Only week one, but I already love it.

It’s made me think a lot about where I’d love this to go… I’d really like to help others use photography in a more mindful way too. Maybe through walks or little retreats, something that gives people space and supports their wellbeing and mental health so if anyone knows where this might fit in the future, please pass on my details. 📷
