Yesterday was all about Rebekah & Josh 🤍

They tied the knot at St Mary’s Church in Nunthorpe before heading over to Howard Court for the rest of the celebrations.

Such a brilliant day from start to finish — relaxed, full of laughs and plenty of those little in-between moments that make weddings so good to photograph.

Howard Court looked incredible; the sun made an appearance and even put on a show with an eclipse, and the evening properly got going once the music started.

Congratulations again, Rebekah & Josh. What a day!

What a day for **Amie & Harry** 🤍

Yesterday they tied the knot at , surrounded by the people they love most — and it was exactly the kind of wedding I love photographing. Relaxed, full of genuine moments, plenty of laughter and absolutely no need for anything to feel forced.

A brilliant couple, a beautiful venue and one very good summer wedding.

Yesterday with Beth and Dan 🤍

A relaxed ceremony at The Story in Durham, followed by confetti, a trip to Derwent Reservoir for some portraits and a brilliant celebration at Snods Edge Village Hall.

The whole day felt easy-going and full of personality, with beautiful countryside, plenty of laughter and absolutely no taking things too seriously.

Congratulations, Beth and Dan. What a lovely day to be part of.

“The time we spent having photos did not feel like it imposed on our day.”

That line from Jess and Kieran’s review means a lot because it’s exactly how I want wedding photography to feel.

They wanted to visit the beach for photographs, but as the day unfolded, they were being encouraged to leave it out. It mattered to them, so I helped them find the time and make it happen without taking over the rest of their wedding.

Those beach photographs became some of their absolute favourites.

Jess also wrote:

“He was efficient at getting the shots we wanted without spending lots of time with us posing for pictures. He captured our day perfectly.”

That’s always the aim: give you some direction when it helps, support the plans that matter to you and let you spend the rest of the day enjoying your wedding.

Wedding photography isn’t just about the couple portraits.

It’s the nervous tears, the hugs you didn’t see, your guests being themselves, the confetti going everywhere and the moments that happen while you’re busy enjoying your wedding.

That’s what I’m looking for throughout the day.

I’ll step in with a little direction when it’s helpful, but you won’t spend hours posing or being pulled away from your guests. Most of the time, I’ll simply let everything unfold and photograph it properly.
