Summer is the perfect time to update your family photos and capture those genuine moments together. ☀️ It’s even better if the fun fair is in town 💃

My family sessions are completely child-led, relaxed and approachable, allowing little ones the freedom to play, explore and simply be themselves. No forced smiles or awkward posing, just natural connections and beautiful memories captured as they happen.

I am currently running an offer on them at £325 including a gallery of up to 30’images. Book in for a fun, stress-free experience designed around your family.

These summer sessions are a wonderful way to freeze this season of life before it slips by. Get in touch to book your session and make the most of the long, sunny days. 📸✨

Oh I had the most amazing pre wedding photoshoot today with Mark and Sabrina today. Then plans rapidly changed from a walk through the deer park to “you’ll have to trust me on this one” and a little stroll through the cobbled streets of Petworth.

With such willing participants (thank you!!!), new ideas were tried out and my goodness, the images are lush. Orla watched on from her chariot, eating snacks and making friends with people’s dogs.

I promise you that you will feel SO comfortable in front of the camera with me capturing you 🥰

Trusting your photographer looks like this… here are the results of my car park shoot. My gosh it looks like a meadow and I am SO pleased with these images.
You just have to trust the process.

As I post this, I am thinking about how the ocean is truly a mother.

These images of Jade are a beautiful juxtaposition: Jade cradling her growing bump whilst the sea cradles her with its crashing waves.

The ocean is like a womb, the source of all biology on Earth. She creates a safe place for those who seek her shores, her crashing waves acting as a beautiful lullaby for the babe within.

She is a fierce protector. She will provide you with unconditional love and no judgement. But disrespect her, and you will know about it.

Paige & Piper 🤍 A first of many motherhood sessions.

Matrescence is the quiet, powerful unfolding that happens as a woman becomes a mother. Not in a single moment, but in waves of change that reshape her body, mind, and sense of self.

Lets get scientific… research now shows that this transformation is not only emotional but deeply biological: pregnancy and early motherhood bring a remarkable reorganisation of the brain itself. Yes, your brain CHANGES.

Hormonal surges help remodel neural pathways, with studies finding widespread changes in areas linked to empathy, social understanding, and emotional processing. So if you don’t recognise your usual emotional response, then this is why.

Some parts of grey matter actually decrease in volume, thought to be a kind of “fine-tuning” that helps mothers become more attuned to their babies. How blooming clever is this?

Research suggests differences in brain structure can persist for years. In this way, matrescence is both a psychological and neurological becoming: a gradual rewiring that supports connection, sensitivity, and care, even when it feels invisible from the outside.

And within all of this change, it’s important to hold onto a simple truth: mothers are extraordinary, not only for what they give, but for who they are.

The role of “mum” can be all-consuming, but it is only one part of a much larger, evolving identity. Beneath the routines and responsibilities is a whole person with her own history, desires, talents, and inner world. Nurturing that self, remembering what brings her joy, what grounds her, what makes her feel alive, is not indulgent, but essential.

Because when a mother stays connected to who she is beyond being a Mum, she doesn’t lose herself in the transformation; she expands within it.

This is why my motherhood sessions mean so much to me, and why they are so important to me. You are amazing.

A Tuesday wedding? Yep! That is correct and it was blooming lush. It has, however, completely thrown me off of what day it is and by the weekend I may end up putting Christmas tree 🤭🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you to Dan and Sarah for having me ❤️

P.s - that drinks reception was divine, as was the confetti ENTRANCE into the wedding breakfast.

In the words of Luna “oh my Goodness”, it has been a long time since I posted. Wow it has been busy over here. With 4 newborn shoots in the diary for this month (over the moon with this) and family shoots being booked into the diary, I’ve forgotten to do the posting part!

I’m currently exporting the wedding gallery of Seri & Steve ready for them to view ❤️ Gosh I am excited!

One last question friends… I’m going to be organising a date for some motherhood minis. They will be held in QEP, Guildford and will be cosy indoor shoots 🤍 Would you like to get sent the details? Hit the poll if you do!
