We're back! After a short hiatus, Bass Symptom returns for a night of carnage down supporting

The legends over at have invited us down to their home ground for us to give our best attempt at ripping the roof off, and we shall certainly do just that.

We are so excited to travel down for this event, the gas pedal will be firmly pressed to the floor all night from every DJ on this lineup, and we can't wait to be a part of it.

This is our second venture down south, after shelling it out to six people and a sound tech . No doubts this will be even bigger and heavier...

Huge thank you to everyone that came down last Friday ♥️

The energy in whq was on point all night from start to finish, as it always is from you lot! Every single DJ on the roster showed us why they are some of the best in Newcastle, and gave us a MENTAL set full of some ridiculous techy dubs which we can't quite get over...

Drum and bass music was more alive than ever on Friday, every corner of the genre got brought out for one absolutely hectic night and it was unreal to see just how many true dnb heads came down. 

All sets were recorded, and full videos and footage of residents will be released over the coming weeks! A massive thank you again to all of you for supporting every single DJ and this special scene we have here in Newcastle 🙌

Introducing Ramo & Norven

Connoisseur's of all things drum and bass, there's not a single element of the genre that can't be mixed by these two. Every set wether it's the liquid, classics or the all out Neuro stompers is mixed to the most technical level they can possibly do.

Introducing WAVES!

Our most soulful and melodic selector, waves knows how to get the emotions pumping. Ever since the first time we brought him onboard, we knew we just wanted to hear his sets over and over again, so we are gassed to have him back for what is likely his most suited lineup yet!

Waves is undoubtedly one of the most talented producers in the toon, with countless liquid and dancefloor dnb tunes both released, and unreleased. His track 'daydream' has been one of his top tracks with almost 2 Million streams on Spotify now!

The music this man brings is sorely needed in Newcastle, and everytime he plays the whole room just gets moving. Catch Waves handing over to Grafix this Friday (and probably giving him a run for his money on selections and dubs)

Introducing TOASTED!

The return of Toasted, a massive part of the Newcastle scene, and huge driver of that bouncy underground sound we all know and love. 

Toasted is not only a crazy talented producer, with his tunes getting played out by the likes of , But also an important foundation to the whole student music scene, pushing massive parties and events out for us all with countless brands, including his own

Grafix is a drum and bass legend who has been pushing the boundaries of the genre for well over a decade, and we are so excited to welcome him to world headquarters!

He is well kown for his unique high energy dancefloor beats, laced with ethereal and intricate melodies inspired by other genres such as techno, trance and rock. He brings the perfect blend of heavy hitters and melodic bangers that will absolutely set the room off.

🎂It's our birthday! 🎂

1 year and 1 day ago we welcomed you lot to our first ever event at the mighty SR44, and it was crazy!

Our residents smashed it and it was unreal to see how many people stayed all the way until 4am.

Technically yesterday was the birthday but unfortunately here at bass symptom we forget things all the time, so this is the first bass symptom hangover birthday!

Bass Symptom x Motion Sickness presents GRAFIX!

We are so gassed to announce this collaboration between our crews. With both of our collectives sharing a huge passion for the true sounds of drum and bass, both old and new, it only made sense to work together on one massive event! 

After hours of brainstorming we finally landed on grafix, a perfect choice to showcase all ranges of dnb from the techy dancefloor to the soulful bangers. 

Supporting him will be some of the best talent in the toon providing everything from jungly garage, to liquidy dancefloor, and all the way up to the stomping neuro!

Well people, how mental was that...

Last weekend was absolutely incredible, and certainly got the whole room absolutely MOVING, and it was just insane to see how much energy there was in the room from the start, RIGHT UP UNTIL 5AM!!

We have never felt such a sense of community like this before and this collaborative event with has shown us Newcastle certainly still has you die hard ravers ready to go mental with us until it's daylight outside!!

We've already got some plans in motion for the next event, and we're so excited to step it up a level next year and show you what we've got!

We absolutely love and appreciate every one of you, and we can't wait to see you all again! X
