Letโ€™s keep it real for a minuteโ€ฆ

The job of an event planner may seem glamorous to most people but the reality is that behind this smile and rush of adrenaline is just a few hours sleep a night, tens of thousands of steps, a heatwave to contend with for a team setting up in 40c heat outside, last minute logistical challenges, vendor issues to iron out calmly, real time decision making and time pressures throughout. Oh and about 8 minutes to change out of practical workwear, and do hair and make up in a confined or shared space.

So whilst we may be looking elegant or having the most fun when you see photos of planners delivering a live event, itโ€™s important to know that there is hard graft behind the scenes going on to make the magic happen!

Thank you D Oฬ‚ E N for creating this stunning peach Coraline silk and lace dress I wore for Katie Boulter and Alex De Minaur ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ wedding in Tuscany - it was utterly perfect for the setting and made even my menial tasks look effortlessly chic.

I still donโ€™t know who and what made a mark on my pristine floor but sure glad I packed the carpet cleaner in my suitcase!

My greatest advice to aspiring planners: a calm mind is the ultimate weapon against any challenge.

I had a full team running around perfecting everything for this dining marquee set up following the ceremony while the drinks reception was happening elsewhere. We had just 24 hours to build and dress the structure and a lot of moving parts. The barely noticeable mark on the floor wasnโ€™t a priority for them in the moment but it took me 10 mins to sort myself as I came through to help finish and perfect the space.

I really believe that true leadership means never considering yourself above a job that needs doing.

From different corners of the world, gathered in one place, for one very simple reasonโ€ฆ love ๐ŸคŽ

For Katie and Joe, their greatest priority was to bring as many of their favourite people together as possible. Nothing mattered more than committing to one another in front of their family and friends, and spending precious time with the people who have shaped their lives.

A welcome evening of cocktails and canapรฉs. A rehearsal dinner filled with wildflowers. An intimate legal ceremony, followed by a deeply personal celebration blending cultures, traditions and their own vows.

Drinks in the garden, then a walk through the orchard to a hidden tent for dinner. Incredible speeches. A surprise custom song performed by their guests. A dance floor full until the very end.

And, to finish, a recovery day at a local cricket club, with friends playing on the pitch while everyone else relaxed in the breeze of a perfect late-summer afternoon.

Gentle, personal, emotional and beautiful. A celebration shaped around the people they love, and led entirely by the heart.

Happy birthday to our faves .book4 Barny Barnard

We were delighted to plan a joyful celebration inspired by the romance of an English country garden for our gorgeous couple. After a relaxed party at their Cotswolds country house, we took guests to an evening supper featuring a communal table dressed in soft butter-yellow striped tablecloths, layered with rippled and sage green tableware, bespoke printed botanical napkins and tailored blue patterned lampshades, creating a bright and residential feel to a barn.

Wild, meadow-inspired florals tumbled across the tables in shades of blush, butter, ivory and soft green, with an overhead canopy of fresh foliage.

An evening that was elegant without formality, colourful without feeling overwhelming, and full of warmth and personality.

Every year I return and this year a new location. Absolutely enchanted by Kefalonia and Ithaca. Will definitely return again for longer, with more time out on the ocean scheduled!

The beach club at my hotel was a real bonus, with padel boarding, kayaking and snorkelling for guests

Welcome to Tuscany and day one of Alex De Minaur ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ and Katie Boulter three day wedding celebration in the Italian countryside at the world renowned boutique hotel and sanctuary of Borgo Santo Pietro | Tuscany

Knowing Alex and Katieโ€™s love of Italy, we planned and designed the welcome dinner to feel deeply rooted in the Tuscan countryside and way of life. We took inspiration from the regionโ€™s effortless hospitality, artisan craftsmanship and seasonal beauty. Bespoke printed linens, woven chairs, colourful garden florals and a long shared table beneath the trees created a setting that echoed the charm of the region: warm, inviting and designed to encourage guests to relax with family style dining and local dishes, with an Italian roaming band providing entertainment throughout.

The welcome party was set within the kitchen and culinary gardens of Borgo Santo Pietro which span a 13-acre organic oasis featuring over 200 vegetable species and 50 aromatic herbs. It truly felt very special!

Such a huge privilege to be the wedding planner and event designer supporting such an amazingly kind and gorgeous couple, who truly made my job so dreamy from start to finish. Delighted to see the first preview featured in British Vogue with such beautiful memories.

Finally they can stop wishing me luck in my division four tennis league matches during the wedding planning video callsโ€ฆ humbled somewhat but very much open for more tips and support on court! ๐Ÿ˜‰

What an incredible day out at Royal Ascot with A L E X H E A D and the Social Pantry - Independent, Female-Founded, B Corp Caterer team - a complete treat in the Royal Enclosure and our box alongside a fabulous group of friends from the event sector.

I didnโ€™t actually take many photos as was so enjoying the company and the day out together, but when everyone looks this gorgeous I had to share!

Thank you Square Store for helping dress me - the blue Aje dress for a lot of compliments. ๐Ÿฆ‹
