The smallest CC bride I ever did see 🤍

I honestly don’t even know where to begin with Annie’s christening dress. We had her christening last weekend and she wore both of my wedding dresses, created by the incredibly talented Amie at 🤍

For years, I prayed that one day I’d have a reason for Amie to create something for me.

The moment Annie was born, I couldn’t wait to start designing a dress for her. When we booked the christening quite last minute, I messaged Amie hoping she might be able to work her magic once again.

Just like some of our brides, I loved the idea of something beautiful but practical — so we designed a two-in-one gown. An extra-long christening dress with a detachable skirt, revealing a romper underneath for after the church service. I wanted long sleeves for the time of year, and one final special detail… I wanted it made from both of my wedding dresses. I even joked (but not really!) that if Kate Middleton’s children’s gowns were 30 inches, then Annie’s had to be 31. Go big or go home 🤍

What Amie created completely blew me away. When I brought Annie for her final fitting and saw her in it for the first time, I was so emotional. I somehow love the dress even more as Annie’s than I ever did as my own. It is truly the most special piece — a masterpiece we will treasure forever. And in true Amie fashion, it was made-to-measure perfection first time, with no alterations needed. Her talent never ceases to amaze me.

Hi, it’s been a while 🤍 I’ve been a little quiet on here… actually, very quiet.

The truth is, this past year took more out of me than I ever expected. I had a really tough pregnancy and was sick every single day. Survival mode kicked in, and social media had to take a back seat.

I’m now 3 months postpartum, slowly finding my feet again, and finally feeling ready to come back and reconnect—with you and with this business I love so much.

So I thought it was about time I reintroduced myself!

These photos are my why. My children, my family, my mum, my brides,and my incredible team. Every bride I dress and every order placed helps support not just this business but the people you see here.

Finally, I can't wait for you all to meet the newest member of CC. Baby Annie born 31.10.2025. She was a bit of a bu**er in my belly, but my goodness was she worth it, she's an absolute angel. Her favourite thing about CC at the moment is obviously her Gigi and snuggly white sofa. Leo is the bestest big brother but isn't at work much now he's started school. There's so much love at Coates Couture and I hope every customer feels that and feels part of something amazing, and know they are part of a business that truly cares and is so grateful 🙏🏽

👣✨ Yesterday, we said a heartfelt goodbye to our beloved Jane, who retired after 7 wonderful years with us. 💕 From suiting up the grooms to calming brides, Jane did it all—with grace, kindness, and always in her slippers. 🩷

To celebrate her next chapter, we gifted her a pair of slippers—something small, but meaningful. For years, Jane wore slippers to protect the dresses… and somehow, she protected so much more than that. She looked after the people, the moments, and the magic. 👑🥿

Top tips for the brides visiting us today to start their alterations.

1) SHOES! Do not forget your EXACT wedding shoes. We can not do anything without them.

2) Be prepared with any questions and enquiries. Are you adding anything bespoke? Want a hook up for your train? These need to be specified on your first fitting.

3) Wear similar underwear to what you will be wearing on your wedding day.

4) EAT. Being stood in your shoes, in the same spot for nearly an hour, is actually really hard. Please don't faint on us - it really does happen.

5) Be prepared that you must now try and maintain your shape/size until your wedding day.

Oh, and enjoy! Leave any other stress at home. This is your time. You're excited to wear your dress again, and it really isn't long now until your wedding. Soak it all in and enjoy the process.
