A little piece of Grandad, woven into her wedding day 🩵

There’s always something so special about wedding flowers that tell a story, and Lani’s bouquet in particular does just that!

For this beautiful bridal bouquet, we created a full, romantic dome of classic white roses, nestled amongst delicate powder-blue Oxypetalum and soft, silvery Senecio foliage. Those tiny blue star-shaped flowers added the prettiest “something blue” to the bouquet. 🩵

But the most meaningful detail was one you might not spot at first glance.

A piece of Grandad’s shirt, along with his buttons, was incorporated into the bouquet, allowing Lani to carry a little piece of him with her as she walked down the aisle. 🩵

From Bumble to “I Do” 🐝

Amy & Ethan matched on Bumble only to discover they’d already worked at the same company for three years! And as if that wasn’t enough of a coincidence, they both had rose tattoos on their right arms 🌹

Five and a half years later, with their little girl Poppy by their side, they said “I do” at Old Clee Church, followed by celebrations at Grimsby Golf Club.

Amy chose dreamy powder blue and creamy white flowers. Soft, romantic and perfect for their beautiful day.

Such a lovely story to be a small part of.

Celebrating Amy and Ethan 🌸

Amy and Ethan first matched on Bumble 🐝, only to discover they had already been working at the same company, Autotrail, for three years!

Another lovely coincidence followed when they realised they both had rose tattoos on their right arms 🌹

Five and a half years later, with their beautiful little girl Poppy by their side, Amy and Ethan married at Old Clee Parish Church, followed by celebrations at Grimsby Golf Club.

For her flowers, Amy chose a soft palette of pale powder blue and creamy whites. The same delicate tones carried through to the bridesmaids’ bouquets and groomsmen’s buttonholes, bringing everything together beautifully.

A wonderful day to have been a small part of, and a very special story behind it.

We’re so excited to be bringing our Christmas wreath workshop to Stallingborough Grange Hotel this November, and we’d love to see some familiar faces there! 🌸

Join us on Sunday 29th November at 1pm for a relaxed, festive afternoon where we’ll guide you through creating your own beautiful fresh Christmas wreath to take home. Whether you’ve made one before or it’s your first time, we’ll be there every step of the way.

🌿 Wreath Making – £55 per person
(Includes a glass of Prosecco or mulled w**e on arrival.)

✨ Wreath Making & Festive Afternoon Tea – £70 per person

This Sunday, we’ll be at Stallingborough Grange Hotel’s Wedding Open Day! 🍂

We’ve been busy creating some beautiful autumn florals to display on the day, giving you the chance to see all those gorgeous seasonal colours and textures up close and personal.

Our lovely Mags has been modelling a little preview for you! 💐 And if you’ve been following our videos, you might even be starting to recognise some of the flower names!

For this arrangement, we’ve used Peach Avalanche roses, gold grevillea, burnt orange beech, hedera (ivy), Apricot Lizzy, red protea, peach garden roses and beautiful red oak.

Come along and explore the suite, soak up the setting, meet some of the lovely people who can help bring your day together, and start picturing what your own wedding could look like here.

The proudest day for me, Happy Wedding Anniversary to my Son Harry and Milly!! 💍

I had the luxury of a rare day off, as my floral magic wand was lovingly passed over to the very talented Gina from The Enchanted Garden. 🪄

Capturing all the special moments behind the lens was the lovely James & Merika of "James Green Studio", while my dear friend Sarah from Raspberry Rose Designs added her own magic with the beautiful stationery. Milly’s beautiful gown was from the amazing CoatesCouturebridal!

A little behind the scenes insight from Mags at Crosskills 🌿

In this film, Mags takes us through how she creates our corsages, combining a modern style with traditional floristry techniques.

She shows us how she pins the petals, strengthens the stem and builds up the design with foliage, giving you a lovely little peek into the thought and skill that goes into creating each one.

We think it’s fantastic to be able to share the how as well as the finished result. Floristry is full of different techniques and ways of doing things, and there’s certainly no one size fits all approach. This is simply how we do it at Crosskills.

A lovely bit of floristry knowledge from Mags and hopefully an interesting insight for anyone who loves flowers and wants to know a little more about what happens behind the scenes. 🌸
