Our walls are being prepped and readied for the installation of Muddled Syncopation - our major new exhibition by interdisciplinary artist Fraser Taylor, exploring the shifting interplay between humanity and landscape and the tension and harmony between people and place.

You'll be able to explore fourteen large-scale canvases, constructed using oil paint and collage, referencing a diverse range of sites including the artist’s studio and the coast of Orkney, interwoven with the human form.

Pop on down to the Beacon from Saturday 5 September to see these extraordinary pieces for yourself.

With a cast of over 100 performers of all ages, this much-loved local tradition brings together music, song, dance and plenty of laughter for a fantastic night of family entertainment.

The Hanover Horn Ensemble comes to the Beacon next week for a very special evening of music.

Horn students from the Hanover University of Music in Germany, joined by Professor Markus Maskuniitty, are travelling to Scotland for the first time - bringing an exciting programme of film scores and popular classical favourites, all arranged for French Horn ensemble.

With an international mix of players, including two Scottish students, this promises to be a truly unique concert! 🎶

We're ready to welcome you for Doors Open Days 2026, where you'll be able to join a guided tour of our building and learn all sorts of secrets about putting on a show. Tour our studio and auditorium, stand on our stage and maybe hear some stories about what goes on behind-the-scenes.

Tickets are free but they are limited so make sure to get yours in plenty of time!
