Blind embossed business cards for created with Powder Green Colorplan. Embossed, letterpress printed details with no show through on the other side.

The blind emboss is created with a custom 2-part male and female embossing die.

Paper is forced with extreme between the two dies creating the raised ‘Improve, all ways” logo. While the front displays the raised emboss, the opposite side usually shows the impression made by the male half of the die, interfering with any overlapping print. We have refined our embossing technique to eliminate the impression and bruising on the back of the cards.

Edge paint or edge foil? What’s your preference?

Adding an edge colour or foil adds serious wow factor to your business cards and stationery.

Edge Paint
We can apply edge paint in any colour to add a striking finish to your business cards or stationery. Paint is applied with our tried and tested technique for a clean, crisp edge. We can match to any Pantone colour reference.

Edge Foil
Edge foiling is a similar process to edge painting. A foil is applied with heat and pressure to the edge of the card. Almost any foil colour can be used and this can be the same foil as the design printed on the card.

We worked with designer to create business cards with a combination of a blind emboss and crisp letterpress print for artist .

A blind emboss on Colorplan Mist card stock creates a sophisticated and tactile business card. The process involves pressing a design into the card without ink, resulting in raised text or logo that enhances visual appeal.

Split fountain letterpress birth announcements

This morning we are setting up the press to print some letterpress business cards, a single black ink both sides.

A fresh tympan on the platen with just the right amount of packing for a crisp impression into the paper, in this case we are using Colorplan Pristine White. Once we are happy with the density of the ink, impression and registration we run the press sheets.
