We are deeply saddened to hear this morning of the passing of our past Parish Priest, and dear friend to all, Fr Eugene Hasson PP Drumragh Parish.
Fr Hasson was a huge supporter of our annual race whilst living here in Greencastle, if he wasn't standing supporting the runners he was taking part himself and enjoyed the challenge of Conways hill feeling very proud of himself when he had overcome it and crossed the finish line. Even after moving on from our parish Fr Hasson kept a close eye on the event and on the runners finishing times and was always sure to drop a message to congratulate the locals who he recognised in the pictures.
Fr Hasson was a friend to all here in Greencastle and he didn't forget us when he was moved on. Likewise we never forgot him and now as we process his passing to eternal life we reminisce on all the good memories we have shared over the years, which we are so thankful for.
Fr Hassons family are deep in our thoughts as they are undoubtedly feeling his loss most and we pray that they will get strength to help them through this difficult and lonely time.
We will never let Fr Hassons name be forgotten within our community. He has celebrated many happy occassions with us and supported us through many difficult ones.
Fr Hasson RIP may your gentle soul and kind heart rest in perfect peace 🙏
