Great Yarmouth Borough Council lays out priorities after approving new Corporate Plan

The plan is designed to provide a strategic vision and priorities for the council over the next five years and includes:

A strong and growing economy in which the council will play an active role in creating the right conditions for local businesses to thrive and take advantage of new technologies. The borough's offshore energy industries will continue to grow and more local people will benefit from a vibrant job market with young people aspiring to access quality jobs. The tourism industry will continue to evolve, creating a year-round visitor economy which generates better-paid jobs in the hospitality sector and contributes to a quality environment. A culture and heritage offer that is strong and unique, with enhancements made to signage, streetscapes and the setting of key buildings and locations.

At a meeting last night, members of Great Yarmouth Borough Council voted to agree a new Corporate Plan.

to summer 2018, when lovely couple Katie and Rob got married at the Royal Assembly Rooms, here in Great Yarmouth.

During the evening, they took a quick car journey to the beach with James Rouse Photography to take some more photos for their wedding album.

While driving along Marine Parade, they noticed that the historic Joyland was still open - so they spun the car around, bought some tokens and took a ride on the legendary Snails!

And we just love the resulting photo...!

The Royal Assembly Rooms has a large reception lounge bar with another leading off from the main function suite which means no one has to stay thirsty for long. You’ll find our bar prices are probably the most reasonable in town too!

It’s also good to know that there’s ample parking spaces in our private car park so if the British weather is proving to be a little undesirable you’ll make it inside without getting too windswept!
