Our Christmas Fair and light switch on is Tomorrow!!!! Come and join us!

Santa will be arriving, by Paddleboard, (weather permitting), and will be at the bridge, Riverside Way, at 12.30pm. Please join us as we meet him and es**rt him up the High Street to his grotto.

As well as our free Santa's Grotto, our special guests, Elsa, Anna and Olaf will be popping in. They'll be with us for the whole afternoon and will be switching on our lights at 5.00pm.

We have an amazing selection of stalls this year including food and drinks provided by: Devilish Donuts and Marley's Pie & Mash and, of course, Tillys Tearoom Brandon and Hyams Bakery will be open too.

DJ Archie will be providing the Christmas Atmosphere and tunes and we'll have live music from Breckland Brass Band, Brandon Happy to Sing Choir and Panache - Community Steel Band

Loads of local shops will be open and Brandon Baptist Church have their Narnia at Brandon Baptist Church experience too!

Tonight is the night! Thetford's Christmas Lights Switch On evening takes place from 4.30-8.30pm,

Come along and enjoy an evening of festive fun for all.

Entertainment timings are as follows, with performances taking place on the stage on Thetford Market Place.

All stalls, entertainment and activities this year are based on Thetford Upper and Lower Market and the surrounding roads.
(In a change to previous years, there will be no events on the riverside)

Santa's arrival will take place at approximately 5.45pm - head to Thetford Market Place where his special arrival will be revealed.

The Lights Switch On will take place at 6.30pm on the stage on Thetford Market Place. (outside the Guildhall)

We can't wait for the Thetford Christmas Lights Switch On in 2025!

This year, we are introducing an exciting new method of transport for Santa and a new arrival spot at Thetford Market Place.

All of the entertainment, activities, food, and market stalls will be located in the Upper and Lower Market areas and the surrounding area.

Make sure to save the date and join us starting at 4:30 PM.

We’ll have nine different food stalls, along with a variety of craft, gift, and community stalls. There will also be an outdoor bar featuring ales from Drenchfoot Brewery, as well as other drinks and a mulled wine stall to get you in the festive spirit. Puddin and Harmony Health will also be open in the evening at the Market Place.

The evening will include performances by Thetford Players, local school choirs, live music from Jam Acoustic, and the Breckland Brass Band.

That's not all though, we'll also have a Children's Disco from Charlie Cheesecake, Balloon Modellers, Glow Jugglers, Face painting and much more!
It's going to be a great evening of entertainment for all the family!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Thetford Signers will no longer be able to join us for the evening. However, we are looking forward to seeing all of the different acts that are coming along.
