Great Dunmow Maltings Saved for the community by dedicated volunteers. Truly unique and in the heart of Great Dunmow. A beautiful listed building in the heart of Great Dunmow.

Our historic venue is available to hire and makes the perfect location for classes, meetings, parties and many other events. To enquire about booking our space for your next event please email [email protected]

Our space is available to hire from 9am - 11pm, 7 days a week. Hire charges are as follows:
£20 per hour 9am - 6pm Monday - Friday
£25 per hour 6pm - 11pm Monday - Friday and all day

Saturday & Sunday. Discounted charges for multiple hiring are available on request including community use. This charge includes the use of tables and chairs for up to 60 people. There is a small kitchen at the back of the room which can be used. Parking is available just opposite the building in the White Street Carpark. Museum Opening Times:
Great Dunmow Maltings is also home to the Dunmow Museum. The museum is open Saturdays & Sundays throughout the year between the hours of 11am - 4pm. Please note the museum is closed
Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year between 11:00am and 4:00pm (Bank Holiday hours and the Christmas period may differ)

Group visits are welcomed and a guided tour can for a small fee.

It's market day! We've got a wonderful line up of stalls ready to meet you from 10am, including local maker Chloe who's joining us for her first ever market!

Chloe loves making Crochet items such as bags and baskets using 100% recycled cotton with sustainability and the environment in mind, and is so an avid sewer!

Today is Chloe's first ever market! 🎉

Did you make it to our first market of the year? If not, fear not! We're back in just over a fortnight with our August market! 🎉

July's market was a wonderful day, we had some of our much loved regular stall holders return, alongside hosting a local heat for the young market traders competition. The hall was filled with beautiful products all handmade locally!

We're back with more stall holders on Saturday 2nd August, and the first Saturday of every month until the end of the year. We do still have a few spots left for stall holders so if you'd like to join us drop us a message or comment for the link to the application form ✨
