This ceremonial event has been cancelled for tomorrow due to weather warnings. Flags will be raised early in the morning by staff, and remain up all week on Community Square.

🇬🇧 Due to the forecast high temperatures, tomorrow’s Armed Forces Flag Raising Service has been cancelled.

This decision has not been taken lightly, but the safety and wellbeing of attendees, veterans, guests and staff must come first.

While we are unable to come together for the ceremony, the Armed Forces flag will still fly above the Civic Centre as a symbol of our support, gratitude and respect for the Armed Forces community.

As we approach Armed Forces Day, we remain proud to recognise the dedication, service and sacrifice of serving personnel, veterans, reservists, cadets and military families, whose contribution continues to make a difference in communities across the country.

Well . . . . look who's here . . . . Welcome to Gravesend Nao Victoria safely moored on Town Pier Pontoon overnight and ready to open to the public from tomorrow.

Between 17th - 28th June, the vessel will be open to the public from 10am - 8pm daily.

Don't miss the opportunity to climb aboard, explore the decks and discover what life was like for 16th-century sailors.

There's also a POP UP Café on Town Pier
