We’re really proud to have been shortlisted in not one, but TWO categories for this year’s Awards 2025.

The Bentley Global Media Drive for the New Continental GT which took place in Andermatt in September 2024 has been shortlisted in the category: Automotive Event of the Year and the Bentley Global Sales & Marketing Conference 2024 has been shortlisted in the category: Internal Communications Event of the Year.

Both categories have very strong entries so we’re thrilled to have been shortlisted in such esteemed company, and we’re really looking forward to the Awards Ceremony in October 🥳

🚨 FOUR WEEKS TO GO! 🚨

The countdown is on as our team at Goose gears up to deliver the (22-24 August) in proud collaboration with .

As we enter the final stretch, our Silverstone Festival team is working tirelessly behind the scenes - this event holds a really special place in our hearts, and we’re incredibly proud to have played a leading role in its growth and evolution for over 15 years.

This summe promises to be extra special as we celebrate 75 years since the first F1 race right where it all began with the show-stopping World Champions Collection - a display featuring cars to represent every single one of the 34 F1 championship winners.

We’re also thrilled to welcome back the legendary Group C cars to the track (much excitement about that one!), alongside an incredible off-track line-up of entertainment and live music.

It’s shaping up to be an unforgettable weekend and we’d love to see you there!

Our reflections on 21 fabulous years delivering incredible events takes us to 2005 today... when we were asked to produce the prestigious Book Awards 📖

This literary prize, established in 1971, was a collection of literary awards that were designed to “encourage, promote and celebrate some of the most enjoyable and best books published each year”. It was unique in that it awarded winners in several categories - Novel, First Novel, Biography, Poetry, and Children’s Book - and an esteemed panel of judges then chose the overall Book of the Year from those 5 categories.

The awards provided an opportunity for those occasionally under represented categories like poetry and biography to have their moment in the spotlight and the 2005 Book of the Year was indeed a biography - Matisse the Master : The Conquest of Colour 1909-1954 by Hilary Spurling.

We were privileged to work with Anna Glover and the Book Awards Director, Bud McLintock, who championed the importance of robust judging processes, the value of an Advisory Panel and always leading with integrity. Values imperative to a successful awards programme and undoubtedly part of the reason these awards stood the test of time.

The event took place at in London and was also our first high profile event with the great and the good of the literary and media worlds in attendance… AND we made it into OK! Magazine with a double page spread 😉

It turned out to be our first and last Whitbread Book Awards, as the mantle was then passed to the Whitbread-owned company, who became custodians of the prize and it became the Costa Book Awards - but that’s a story for another time... ☕

As we mark 21 years of Goose, we’ve been reflecting on our best events over that time… starting with the year when it all began 🎉

Back in 2004, we were approached by to organise the first ever Whitbread Convention – the bringing together of a community: two thousand managers from across the whole brand portfolio under one roof for the first time. At the time, they owned and and we designed a brand experience to showcase the best of all these brands and also the reveal of a brand new corporate identity.

Wembley Conference and Exhibition Centre was selected as the venue and our event logistics team were challenged with bringing all 2,000 people from across the UK to London for a full day conference, awards dinner and overnight stay.

Clive Woodward was our motivational keynote speaker and Tony Hadley brought the house down with his band. The first Goose full-service event delivered and the start of something beautiful! 🥂🍾

We’re returning to Wembley this summer with one of our property sector clients and have recently pitched it for a sales kick-off meeting in Q1 next year. It continues to be a great destination for a variety of different events.

A month ago today, Ruby Dack joined our team for a summer internship.

She’s been experiencing a broad spectrum of the Goose portfolio already, providing support to both our corporate team and the Silverstone Festival team. She’s settling in nicely!

“I am so excited to start my career in events through my internship at Goose. I am really enjoying getting to know everyone and developing a deeper understanding of the events industry, and I’m especially looking forward to seeing everything come together as part of the team delivering the Festival at the end of August, too!“

And it’s a Happy Friday at Goose! At the start of the week, we were delighted to have been confirmed as a finalist in the Awards 2025 🎉

It’s a special one too. It’s in the Awards Category for Best Sustainable Event and is for the Continental GT Global Media Drive that we delivered in September 2024. Fingers crossed for awards night on Thursday 26 June at 🤞

Eleven years ago this week, Laura Peacock joined Goose! 🎉

Laura has worked across both the public and corporate sides of the business during that time and is one of our senior Project Managers. She’s always super calm and collected and a consummate professional BUT she certainly knows how to have fun too! Happy work anniversary, Laura!🥳

In the world of events, staying current is imperative, so checking out places we’ve not experienced before is a necessary evil 😉

Culture. Sustainable development. Beautiful scenery. 5* hotel and event facilities. Oman delivered 💫

Our Project Manager and Sustainability Lead joined in Oman on the 19 Shadow Board Development Retreat and was blown away. Here are her key takeaways:
- Oman is absolutely stunning and offers untapped potential – it’s perfect for an incentive or team building event
- It’s a welcoming destination, full of culture whilst being progressive and inclusive
- and the offer incredible accommodation and made it to her ‘favourite properties’ list.

Previous trips to Dubai and Abu Dhabi had given Becca a flavour of what the UAE offers, but Oman has become her personal favourite. While she was there, she also joined a panel session discussing how Oman can present itself as a MICE destination.

Speaking about Oman afterwards, Becca said: “Oman offers so much potential. It’s breathtakingly beautiful, is undertaking its development in a sustainable way, and there are so many unique experiences to enjoy… from swimming with sea turtles, to rock climbing in the Jabal Akhdar mountains. I conquered a few fears on this trip with the many experiences I got to enjoy and fell in love with Oman. I’m looking forward to planning future events there.”

On the 27th April 2004 - 21 years ago - Goose was first incorporated 🎉

Yesterday was our “21st” - we finally came of age🤣. But you never really come of age in this business. Always learning, evolving, pushing boundaries, stretching yourself, achieving what you didn’t think was possible, blazing a trail… we absolutely wouldn’t have it any other way. Ever grateful to our wonderful clients and partners (some of whom have been with us from the very start!) for making this such an incredible flight of discovery.

With a nod to our evolution, we have a little brand refresh coming up. Watch this space… and here’s to the next 21 years!! 🥳
