It was an absolute honour to play a small part in such a historic occasion at the British Museum, marking the unveiling of the Bayeux Tapestry in the presence of His Majesty The King, Her Majesty The Queen, President Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Macron.

Paying homage to the two nations depicted in this extraordinary work, our Executive Chef created a series of English and French fusion menus, drawing inspiration from medieval ingredients and dishes, reimagined with a contemporary flair.

Guests enjoyed a selection of canapés including preserved whipped chicken liver parfait with confit plum and barley & ale bread; Petworth sourdough with truffled Cornish goat’s curd, local honey and scented thyme vegetables; and Sussex mushroom parfait tartlets with shaved chestnut.

Sweet offerings included miniature pear and almond tarts, mead cake with spiced clotted cream and bee pollen, alongside a showstopping tower of madeleines.

A truly memorable evening, celebrating history, culture and the enduring connection between two nations.

An evening celebrating the new season with Caper & Berry.

A beautifully curated tablescape by The Luxe Collection sat beneath a dramatic spring canopy by Mad Lilies, brought to life by Firebird Events.

Guests enjoyed a canapé reception from our S/S26 collection, paired with Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs, before entering Buck Hall for the seated dinner.
