Ahoy there! Here’s my view after performing a themed magic show for birthday celebrations. Becca had written the entire murder mystery for 45 guests herself, and that included a part for me as well ( )
The pirate theme worked brilliantly - and it was really fun to rewrite my show to go with my role - a mysterious time traveller aboard a ship about to break on the rocks 🏴‍☠️

Was this your card? This was a recent performance at our recent close up magic competition. It’s a chance to perform to a mixture of magicians and lay people, and this was the second trick in a 10 minute routine that I wrote especially for the evening.

Yesterday was International Day of the Magician, in recognition of St John Bosco, an Italian priest who used magic to reach out to the poor and homeless of Turin. One of the sayings attributed to him was “if you want people to listen, first make them smile”. Magic isn’t just about fooling people, it’s about uplifting them - and it’s why I love performing so much!

It’s not every day that you get to see a world class performance from a real life magic dragon! Very impressive handwriting considering the dragon claws as well.
