St John the Evangelist, is just steps away from the front door of The Main House and provides the ultimate setting for an intimate church wedding ceremony. The Norman church was one of the key features of our recent photoshoot and has been beautifully captured by
Pauntley’s church is very special in its capacity to hold up to 100 guests, but also offers complete intimacy for weddings of just 16 or 20, making it truly unique. If you are unable to commit to visit six times before the big day, but would still like to experience the magic of the church, you could have a Blessing which is a beautiful way to honour your marriage without the formal religious commitment.
Flowers form a key part of any church wedding, and for our shoot, and a wonderful team of florists used seasonal, British grown blooms, mainly sourced from to create a striking archway, elegant alter flowers and a brilliant bouquet for our model bride. Also, as sustainability is hugely important to us, the floral installations were designed to be repurposed throughout the day; the archway moved to our Stretch Tent for the wedding breakfast, the indoor flowers became vases for the tables and bouquets were given to the florists at the end of the day (although at a real wedding, you could give them to your guests to take home).
We have written a blog about our fabulous photoshoot day and you can find the link to it in our stories from today.
