It’s nearly the summer holidays, which means it is nearly September, which means it’ll be Christmas in just a minute - WTAF.

I have had comments recently about my page being colourful - which it may well be but I do neutral too! To be honest I do whatever my couples desire, with the same amount of passion and care to each and every one. I love neutrals. I also love colour.

Tips for approaching a wedding florist:

1. B E U P F R O N T - Be sure to include your date in your initial email. Quoting takes time and we want to be sure it is viable for us before investing time in the process.

2. H A V E V I S I O N - Have some idea on what you want/like. Examples of colour are very helpful, and inspiration pics are borderline essential.

3. B E C L E A R - Have a vague idea of the items/areas you want quoted. If you don’t give much direction and we come back with full venue styling when you wanted a few bouquets you are going to be quite overwhelmed. Equally, if you want the full works and we quote the minimum then you may feel we don’t offer that (I can almost assure you we do).

4. S P E A K U P - Be willing to say it is too much. I try to be clear that prices are up for discussion (in that I can offer ways to make it work for your budget). Please don’t be afraid to say it is too much. I totally understand how wedding costs can spiral and here to help 💫

5. B E P A T I E N T - please for the love of his be aware that quoting itself can take HOURS. Enquire in wedding season and have no doubt that almost every minute of the week is scheduled around MAKING a wedding. Many of us have families - some of us are single parents with school age children - meaning they are on school hours and not nursery 8-6! We often take a pause on work and restart after bed time. Flower quotes are just that - quotes. Bespoke, tailored and not a simple price list. They take thought and consideration.

6. N O G H O S T I N G - please acknowledge our quote. Even if it is polite ‘thanks but no thanks’. Leaving us hanging feels humiliating (this goes for all wedding suppliers).

This is so fu***ng beautiful, it looks like a shoot.

I may be biased as I have known these two since they were tiny, and had (and actually still have) the best Sylvanian Family collection I have ever seen. Their mum made cakes for my own parent’s wedding, and she also made a beautiful array of cakes for my wedding too.

Every bride means a lot to me, it goes without saying. Many of my brides have become and remained good friends of mine. These two though…..😍
