It might not be wham, bam and full of glam, but hopefully this behind the scenes glimpse might give you a sneaky peek of life as a wedding florist.
- the wedding date moved forward by 3 months, meaning much of the flower was only available fresh - not dried, as required. So I bought it fresh and embraced the barmy heat to dry it out myself.
- Smilax UK πΏ was a very welcome and appreciated foliage to use to dress the balcony and give the wonderful trails (and thank you a million to Flowervision Bristol for sourcing and providing the amazing advice)
- my grubby and cut arm, which blew up in a bit of a reaction to something (sensitive skin, darling)
- and up and down a ladder in 5 squillion degree heat to construct. Thank you to my wonderful freelancer Westerleigh flowers for your help.
All of this, then back to The Great Tythe Barn | Cotswold Barn Venue | Weddings and Events for takedown at midnight.
But yeah - itβs just playing around with flowers π
