After their success at the Partington Theatre One Act Play Festival they are now taking Lentil to the GMDF One Act Play Festival at the Players Theatre, Cheadle Hulme, this Friday. A read through of The Ghost Train by Arnold Ridley.

🚂The Ghost Train will be Partington Players opening to the 2026/27 season and they are looking for cast and crew members. If you are interested, in any way, you are welcome to come down and take part in the read through, or even just listen. The director will be sharing his thoughts on how the production will be presented and give more details about what he is looking for in casting.

🎭Following the read through open auditions will be held on 5th July at 2pm followed by call backs on 12th July.

Donations are coming in for our charity/community stall at Heritage Weekend but we are going to need lots more!

Do you have something you can donate? However large or small we will happily take the following:

🍾 Bottles
🕯 Candles
🧼 Soaps/smellies
🧸 Teddies and toys
📚 Books
🎁 Gifts

Anything in new/as new/nearly new condition.

Drop off at the theatre 10-4 tomorrow or Thursday as we need to get prepping on Friday.

🎭Friends of Partington Theatre, we need your help!

Can you spare a few hours over Heritage Weekend? We are particularly looking for the following:

🎨Face Painters
👩‍💻Tech Support
🏪Community Stall Helpers
📸Photographer

All support helps so please do let us know if you can help. Even an hour will give someone else a lunch break!

We also need:
🍾Donations for our tombola
🧸Lucky dip items

Our Community Stall will be further away from the theatre this year so we need to make it extra special. Donations of bottles, cuddly toys, gift sets, candles, all are welcome. Donations can be dropped off at the theatre 10:30-4pm Tuesday to Friday next week or by arrangement.

Looking for something to entertain the children during half term? Our Holiday Clubs are growing and we want all young people to have the opportunity to join in!

This time the theme is Imagination and Invention in preparation for the Glossop Heritage Weekend. We will be running two days.

Wednesday 27th May - for ages 4-11yrs. Drama games, activities, crafts and more.

Thursday 28th May - for ages 11 upwards. A 'Play-in-a Day'. Take part in a creative workshop to create a play from scratch. As a bonus, any children involved with this workshop will have the opportunity to perform at the Heritage Weekend. For more info please email [email protected].
