While our much-needed renovation works take place at Barbour Memorial Hall, we are very grateful to The Nith Hotel for providing a temporary home for Post Office services in the village from July to October. Please note that there will be no Post Office service at the hall on Thursday 26 June, with site preparations works underway.

UPDATE!

Wm Waugh and sons are on site at the hall, they’ve managed to fit us in a bit earlier than planned to start fencing off and erecting scaffolding.

There will be access for the Post Office and Fitsteps via the front door for this week and we hope to have confirmation of their temporary homes, (starting w/c 30th June as planned)early in the week

UPDATE!
The work to renovate the exterior of the hall will start on the 30th of June.
There will be no access to either the hall or the car park for the duration of the works, which will take around 18 weeks.

It’s going to look fantastic when it’s done-we can’t wait!

Caerlaverock Community Association (CCA) invite you to come along to their meeting at Barbour Hall tomorrow, Wed 28 May, at 7.30pm. This is one of their quarterly meetings to hear what's happening in the community and discuss community issues. Everyone welcome.

THANK YOU! 🙏

Thank you to everyone who came along and made Friday’s ladies night so enjoyable. Everyone joined in and had fun while raising money for the hall.
We had a fantastic raffle as well as demonstrations, games and a bit of dancing 💃

Special thanks go to;
Jayd and Jenna from Fitsteps, they kept everyone entertained with their singing and dancing. They encouraged us all to join in a seated dance as well as a demonstration from some of the ladies from the Monday night class at the hall

Audrey from Plum and her able assistant Abbie, the fashion show was excellent and thanks to the volunteer models too

Lucy and Aislinn from Tropic skincare, Gill loved her free facial!

A special mention must also go to the only men allowed on the night-Robert, John, Malcolm and Gerry who served behind the bar and kept everyone ‘hydrated’ and cleared and washed the glasses. We couldn’t have done this without them

We’ll post again when we know the final amount raised
