A reminder of the SPEN consultation taking place at Barbour Hall tonight. This is a drop-in session rather than a group meeting / presentation so you can come along at anytime between 5pm and 7.30pm

Please note this upcoming event next Tuesday at Barbour Memorial Hall. This is in relation to upcoming works in the area by Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN) to install new HV cable for multiple new substations for network upgrades. This booking has only just come in to us so please help us spread the word to all in the community.

This week has been Volunteers' Week! We're very thankful for our 10 charity trustee volunteers here at Barbour Hall who run things being the scenes - making sure we meet the legal requirements of the charity regulator and manage our fundraising needs through grant applications or events so we can operate, update and improve the facility. You can read more about our trustees here: https://www.barbourhall.co.uk/trustees/

As a two-tier SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation), we also have a wider group of ordinary members and are very grateful for this support. If you'd like to join us as a member, please do get in touch - email [email protected] or message us here on Facebook. Even without being a trustee or ordinary member, there are lots of ways to get involved including planning and helping out at events, organising your own event or letting us know the kind of things you'd like to see on at the hall. Volunteering is very rewarding, a great way to share your skills or pick up new ones and to meet other people in the community.
