🌦️We spent the early morning picking flowers for tomorrow’s in the on-again, off-again drizzle. We harvested our first feverfew and campanula of the season (💚) along with a continuing flush of sweet peas, Ammi majus, nigella, cornflowers, yarrow, and other bits and foliage.
🌱It seems like only yesterday we were watering seedlings daily in the 35+ degree poly tunnel, finding sun damage on leaves, and spraying each other with the hose to stay cool! Who would’ve thought late May would be 10-15 degrees hotter than early June??
🌾If our first year of full-on flower farming is teaching us anything, it’s be both resilient and flexible - like knowing to never put the ol’ welly boots and rain gear into summer storage (I suppose any Brit ought to know that one 😅).
