We had a shock today - our mighty Ent, the guardian of the Stone Circle, did battle with Storm Bert - but even he could not withstand this Elemental, and has been cleft in twain! 😒

His legs and loins still stand strong - we hope to make him whole again as soon as we can. Watch this space.

Our Story

Splotts Moor Farm is a wedding, events & performance venue situated 3 miles from Glastonbury, surrounded by stunning views of Glastonbury Tor and the Mendip Hills. The spacious, separate self-catering accommodation is fully half of the farmhouse. It includes a large double bedroom, an adjoining bedroom with two twin beds, a bathroom with shower, a combined dining room/lounge with three-quarter sofa bed, and a kitchen with wood-powered stove, induction hob and dishwasher. The utility room (with washing machine and deep freeze), is shared with the owners and available to our guests.

Our custom timber frame marquee is a one-of-a-kind setting for special celebrations. We’ve happily hosted weddings, handfasting ceremonies, anniversary parties, and other memorable occasions since 2010. Contact us for details about marquee rental, parking, decoration and other amenities.

A 25-acre woodland on the farm is open for visitors to explore, photograph and enjoy. Early risers can treat themselves to the amazing dawn chorus of birdsong in the spring and summer! There are also several lovely routes (about 45-minutes’ walk) to Glastonbury town, both past and over the famous Tor. Guests are welcome to help themselves to the fruit from the garden trees in season! The house is partly solar-powered. Splotts Moor is proudly eco-friendly. Splotts Moor farmhouse is built from original stone of Tor House, which stood at Chalice Well (http://www.chalicewell.org.uk). We create a cosy, welcoming atmosphere in which our guests feel at home. Splotts Moor aims to be a place of joy and wonder amid our peaceful, picturesque natural surroundings. For information on hiring the guesthouse, or for hosing your wedding or event on the grounds of the farm, please contact Hilary or Gordon at [email protected], or by phone on 01458 831492. ----------- Splotts Moor was named as one of Pagan Wedding Planners' Top 10 Handfasting Venues, 2015: http://www.paganweddingplanners.co.uk/blog/4588957770 - alongside Avebury, Chalice Well, and the Rollright Stones.
