A Healing Tree planted on Glastonbury Tor -

In the heat of the summer in 1997, Glastonbury had a visit from Shantimayi. Shantimayi was an American who became the successor to the Shri Sacha Dham Ashram in Rishikesh, India. She carried the transformational energy of this eminent line of Sacha Master’s that is said to date as far back as our present universal cycle.

Shantimayi was invited to Glastonbury by the Isle of Avalon Foundation to be part of its ‘Interfaith Bridging Initiative’. She brought with her a pair of Shiva Lingams; these are egg quartz crystals containing a hundred thousand prayers from different faiths, including those of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. This pair of crystals was a gift to Glastonbury in recognition of its sacred landscape and transformative energies, It was given to support healing within the town, the community, and the visiting pilgrims.

With the support of the National Trust, a small oak sapling was planted on the slope of the Tor. This oak sapling, a descendant of a local tree, was planted with ceremony and for the next 48hours the ancient Gayatri Mantra was chanted by Shantimayi and her devotees in various locations around the town.

FRIDAY MAY 30th 6.45PM – 9.30PM The Avalon Community Centre.

Who is ready to climb aboard this Spirit Boat to support all beings seen and unseen? DragonSong known as Amrun, in the ‘Celtic’ medicine tradition, is Spirit language that is expressed through movement and song while being a hollow bone. It is a multi-dimensional medicine way that empowers participants to be active participants in the evolution of our species and our world.

Join Andrew Steed, and internationally respected shamanic teacher in an evening of being the medicine. Andrew has been working with Amrun since he was a child and since 1996, he has been self-employed leading retreats and workshops in 10 countries around the world. Andrew is traveling down from his home in Scotland to offer this evolutionary evening of authentic joy and hope.

Whether you have participated in a Spirit Boat, Joy Fire, Visionary Hope Fire, or Wild Hunt with Andrew, or this is totally new to you, you will be in for an evening of authentic joy that offers both personal and planetary healing. Our world is vibrating in fear, rage, and so many other jagged aspects of the strand
of sorrow. Come and support reweaving the strand of sorrow into joy so we can co-create peace and a new way of being while honouring the unseen world too.

Are you ready to stand up for all life seen and unseen? On this weekend in Glastonbury there will be a Faerie Fayre where Andrew will be sharing books and artwork. Before the fun of the Fayre, come and honour the Fae and all unseen beings as we work alongside them with the song of Amrun flowing through our bones
and singing in our hearts. We are the people we have been waiting for!

TICKETS FOR THE DRAGONBOAT –

The NAT Project is a venture providing preventative support for young people and young adults who are struggling with their mental health.

Our Drum Fun sessions are aimed at bringing young people aged between 11 and 16 years, together in a safe and fun, indoor environment, whilst connecting to themselves and each other though the nature of the djembe drum.

The djembe is one of West Africa's best-known instruments. This goblet-shaped drum is traditionally carved from a single piece of African hardwood and topped with an animal skin as a drumhead. Some say the name of the djembe came from the Bamana in Mali, who said "Anke dje, anke" to call their people together, as the saying translates as "everyone gather together." Dje" means gather and "be" means everyone, which gave the drum used in these calls to order its name.

Africans say that the drum contains three spirits. The belief is that the djembe drum contains the spirit of the tree from which it was made, the spirit of the animal whose skin is played, and the spirit of the carver or the one who cut the tree and the people who
assemble the drum. Source: https://www.drumconnection.com/africa-connections/history-of-the-djembe/

Two trained therapists plus a practitioner experienced in working with young people will co-facilitate the sessions. This will be a closed group, meaning that once we have started the sessions no one else will be able to join. We are hoping that this will be the first of many groups, however, one of us will be meeting with those interested before the sessions start so that we can find out a bit more about you and you about us. If you have your own djembe you are welcome to bring it. We can provide them if not.

Please note that this is not a therapy group.

Well Being Glastonbury Healing Hub offers complementary therapies from local therapists, for free or optional contribution, to promote greater well-being for all.

We currently have spaces available for meditation and mindfulness at 12.30pm to 1.15pm, one session available for Reiki at 2.30pm.

Details and information on how to book below;
MINDFULNESS & MEDITATION – experience a variety of simple and short meditation techniques, linking mental awareness with breath, body and sound; in a seated or lying position, with occasional chanting and movement. Meditation helps us to experience and accept the present moment more fully, release inner resistance and blocked energy, and allow our natural state of wellbeing to flow. Meditation has numerous positive mental and physical health benefits. If you are experiencing mental health issues or have any concerns about this practice being suitable for you, please seek your GPs advice before starting a class.

REIKI - is a Japanese energy healing technique. The predominate form of reiki practiced throughout the world today, also known as Usui reiki, was created by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. It’s a complementary or alternative health approach. Reiki does not directly cure diseases or illnesses. Instead, it’s used as a way to manage symptoms and improve general well-being.During a reiki session, the practitioner places their hands either directly on you or just above you to bring about healing. The belief is that the practitioner is able to stimulate your body’s natural healing abilities.Reiki is non-invasive and thought to be safe. It doesn’t have any known harmful side effects. For those with a past trauma, lying quietly in a dim room with someone close to you might be uncomfortable. Reiki is not intended to replace any doctor-approved treatment plan.

HAWAIIAN TEMPLE HEALING – an ancient Hawaiian hands-on technique. This practice energises, balances and moves energy around the body. It clears out old stagnant energy and opens up the meridians and leaves you feeling wonderfully centred and energised.

SHAMANIC HEALING - is a deep powerful sacred practice. My intention is to connect and seek guidance to work with my spirit helpers and find the root cause of the client’s issue. I then use different shamanic techniques like cord cutting, past life healing, power/soul retrieval, to find the issue/ailment or stuck emotion. Finally, I use different techniques, directing and reweaving the energy centres in the body and then a healing energy is channelled to the client.

Booking required - contact on FB messenger, or email [email protected] or phone 01458 833933.

We look forward to hearing form you 🙌.
We usually meet on the third Wednesday of the month, at the Avalon Community Centre.
All welcome
