The new term at STEM explorers in East Kilbride started with a bang... and a fizz!
Our p1-4 class had lots of fun making bath bombs and pop rockets, learning about how chemical reactions can produce gases!

A new way to join STEM Explorers!

I've had quite a few parents tell me that paying for a whole term of activities at once can add up – especially at the start of a new school term.

So from this term, there's another option.

You can now join STEM Explorers for £26 per month, spreading the cost across the year rather than paying for each block upfront.

-Fortnightly hands-on STEM sessions
-Experiments, engineering, challenges and making
-East Kilbride
-Separate P1–4 and P4–7 groups
-£26 per month
-Your child's regular place is automatically reserved

And no more remembering to rebook every term! Their place stays theirs for as long as their membership continues.

Don't want a monthly membership? That's absolutely fine. You can still book and pay for a term at a time in exactly the same way as before.

Never been to STEM Explorers before? New children are very welcome. Our sessions are practical, relaxed and designed to get children experimenting, building, investigating and figuring things out for themselves.

So proud of our STEM explorers at the Holiday Club in East Kilbride on Tuesday!

The creativity was amazing! We made rollercoasters with loops and hills, we learned how to make a carousel ride, and we learned why we don't fly off fast rides!

Tomorrow is our last session of the summer- Theme Park Science!

Since summer is nearly over (sorry!!), it's time to look forward to STEM explorers term time clubs!!

P1-4 is a Saturday morning (10 till 11:30am) on:
22nd August, 5th September, 19th September and 3rd October.

P4-7 is a Tuesday after school (3:30 till 5pm) on:
25th August, 8th September, 22nd September and 6th October.

Both classes are in Calderglen (formerly Claremont) Parish Church.
Each session is £15, payable for four sessions in advance. Run by a qualified Science teacher, children learn about STEM through hands on activities, while having fun and making friends!

We had some wow moments today at STEM explorers in East Kilbride!

We:
made bubbles with dry ice
discovered what can make a balloon fireproof
fired pop rockets, and
made elephant toothpaste!

We even took some of the learning and fun outside!

We have one more session left this summer, on Tuesday 4th August.

Now that the weather has changed, why not get your kids involved in our STEM holiday clubs in East Kilbride?
We had a great time last week learning how to design solutions to help in natural disasters.
On Thursday 30th July, we will be trying some experiments that have the wow factor in our Extreme Experiments session!!
Tuesday 4th August will be all about the science of Theme Parks!
The morning session is for P1-4, and the afternoon session is for P4-7. We're almost full, but there are a couple of spaces left!
