With the announcement of another 3 weeks of lockdown for the UK, I am trying to keep my mind active and thankful for all of the positives there are in this time.

I am so thankful for all of the amazing friends we have. Instead of separating us, it has brought us closer to one another and allowed us the time to virtually spend time together and support each other through this uncertain time

I am thankful for my health and my families health.

I am thankful that I have a roof over my head and food to eat, when some don't have those luxuries.

Yes, I am stressed and anxious, we all are. But like many, I am awaiting the days we can all venture out, and hug one another again 💛

A throwback to a while ago when we were allowed out, Ross and Ciara held their incredible wedding celebrations at BAaD, in the heart of the Barrowlands. It was a joy to style, an industrial fairy woodland theme, the perfect edge to this awesome venue. Here they are, exploring the surroundings, happily care free and just married 💛

A question I'm often asked is how to add some extra colour and fun when dressing spaces. One really effective way to add some pops is by using candles in your key colours.

There is something so elegant about a tapered candlestick, they look amazing paired with our vintage brass holders.

We can source all kinds to suit, these beauties are beeswax candles which give off a subtle honey scent, and are much friendlier to our environment which we love!

Happy Birthday to this man I'm lucky enough to call my husband.

Today may be spent in a different setting to what we imagined, but there will still be embarrassing Happy Birthday singing, delicious italian food, and no doubt some surviving Easter eggs that will serve as a perfect desert!

If you are in Glasgow and haven't tried yet, do it! It will change your lockdown dining. Also, they have donated over 2500 meals to the NHS so far with What good souls!

Day 2 of wonderful memories: Rossmay's gorgeous sitting room became the dressing room for our bride during this shoot.

The fireplace was adorned with some of our brassware, glassware and candles, as well as ethereal blooms by The Posy Sisters

As part of my "down time" in lockdown I am making the time for sharing some amazing memories we have had the pleasure of being a part of.

Today we are throwing it back to times of adventures in the Scottish Highlands.

Rossmay House is a wonderful Air B&B located in Arrochar. It has the most wonderful view over the loch, and the wild Scottish weather was a treat for us on this amazing day.

It was amazing fun to collaborate with so many incredible talents. I had the pleasure of dressing Rossmay's stunning living room to create a bridal parlour, the buddha hut became the groom's hangout, there were windy picnics and this bunch of beautiful peeps hungout on the banks of the loch.

Products of ours used here are:
•Rosemary, the vintage brass and glass bar cart (yes we name our props, this one is named after the amazing woman we purchased this from. Originally from Germany, she now resides in Glasgow, and has so many amazing stories to tell of her 87 years of adventures)
•Ida & Isa, our vintage rocking chairs (Perfect for sitting in to watch the world go by, and for a good chin wag in a quiet corner)
•A collection of beautiful brassware, glassware and many, many candles!

These are such strange and challenging times we are in. The current crisis is affecting so many of us in different ways, from emotional challenges to financial strains, and it has been heartbreaking to hear of so many people falling victim to this virus.

Many couples are unfortunately having to postpone their weddings, and I feel for everyone that is currently spending their wedding days and anniversaries in very different ways to how they were planned.
To anybody finding themselves in this position, please know that your day will be worth the wait, and will be the best day of your lives when it comes around.

One thing is for certain, we will get through this, we will all love a little harder, and hug people tighter when we come out the other side. Our key workers and our NHS are heroes, and the kindness and support offered by people at this time is truly heartwarming.

A small positive to come of this has been the time we have had to slow down, reflect and refocus. Please take time for you wherever possible, and reach out when you need to, it can easily become overwhelming.

Stay home, and stay safe 💗

Words from the amazing to keep us positive in these times 💗 I am finding some solace in this book at the moment. It really is a masterpiece.
