Formerly Kelvinside Parish Church, Òran Mór, Gaelic for ‘great melody of life’ or ‘big song’, is a thriving arts & entertainment venue in the heart of Glasgow’s West End. Our Auditorium is a breathtaking architectural setting for Weddings, Private & Corporate events, dominated by Alasdair Gray’s stunning celestial ceiling mural and further enhanced by stained glass windows, as well as many of the original features of the church. Inspired by the Zodiac and depicting Birth, Life and Death, as well as various philosophical quotations on the meaning of life, Gray’s mural is one of the largest pieces of public art in Scotland. The Auditorium also offers a contemporary setting for a range of private and corporate events; from workshops of 80, receptions of 400, Graduation Balls and Christmas Party Nights.
