Good morning 🌞It has been amazing being back at work again after almost 8 weeks off! Yesterday was my last gig of 4. After every single one, my feet have swollen and there is pain however...I love my job so much, i really do, whether it be performing solo or hosting Karaoke. I love both equally 🫶
I love seeing people forgetting their worries and enjoying themselves, singing, having their moment to shine really does make my day!
People frown on Karaoke but i have heard some of the most amazing singers in all of my 20 + years of hosting! For the ones that just like to get up for a laugh...Thank you for entertaining us ♥️
The power of music amazes me and has got me through the toughest of times, not just in adulthood but since childhood.
You never know what kind of day someone is having, what trauma they have survived. Just because they are smiling, doesn't always mean life is great.
Please always try to treat people with kindness, that initial interaction may well be the only interaction that person has had all day....
The way we speak to people, the kindness and acknowledgement, the words we choose, can really lift someones mood and make their day.
My job isn't just singing or hosting, it's also about making people feel seen, heard, welcomed and part of something, even if it's just for a few hours.
