Designer wedding dresses, bridesmaids and mother of the bride outfits The first shop opened in 1994 in Bearsden, Glasgow.

Joyce Young, a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, has been a fashion designer since 1975. Having gained vast experience in the fashion industry she decided to launch By Storm, a new concept in the bridal market. Joyce designs for modern brides and stylish mothers and guests who want a less formal look. Joyce’s designs are sophisticated and flattering to the figure with a timeless understated elegance. The combination of simplicity of line and luxurious fabrics together with a keen eye for colour and detail make the 'By Storm Look' unique.

Meet our stunning Mother of the Bride ,Jane wearing our crepe side slit dress and matching cape in Ivory .

Jane fell in love with the ivory outfit but thought her daughter may not approve . However the bride was very happy with her choice .

We think it's a very elegant look for Mum to wear ivory and looks great in the mother and daughter pictures.

Always check with the bride though before choosing ivory 😊

Our Callanish Tartan Wedding Collection and Harris Tweed jackets feature in the Luxury Issue of October's Scottish Field which is out now.
We had a fabulous time with Miss Scotland Eilidh Macdonald and her boyfriend Euan on this studio photoshoot before she jetted off to Vietnam to take part in the Miss World competition where Eilidh wore our bias cut Callananish Tartan slip dress and flowing organza cape to showcase the Designer of her Country. The Callanish tartan was designed by Malcolm Campbell, the mellow colours and fascinating back story with it's Royal connections is proving highly successful with our clients. The full collection will be showcased at the Scottish Wedding Show at the SEC on 17th and 18th October . Thank you Eilidh and Euan for bringing the collection to life ❤️.

We were delighted to receive this beautiful picture of Jill at her son Josh Kerr's wedding in the Dominican Rebublic at the end of last year.

Jill wore a red satin dress with Muted Kerr tartan organza wrap and inset godets into front slit in dress.

We love the look coordinating so beautifully with the kilts .

The second picture shows the original sketch when the ideas were being put together .

Congratulations Josh on your wedding and huge congratulations on your amazing achievement of the New Mile World Record 👏👏.

We are so privileged to meet so many fabulous women at such a happy time in their lives . Seonaidh is great fun and we loved the selection of quirky shoes she brought to her fittings .

We love a traditional Scottish wedding ❤️ is the perfect venue for kilts and reeling . Beautiful bride Stephanie and her lovely mum Verena wore Joyce Young designs and I think you'll agree they look incredibly elegant . We just received the images from Morven and Tom's wedding . I'm lost for words . Just blown away with these stunning pictures by Seán Bell | Scotland & Europe Wedding Photographer . This is one of my favourite couture dresses. Morven had a vision of how she would look on her wedding day and as she lives overseas she came almost 2 years before the wedding to start the process . From sketch to completion every detail was perfected and the photographs capture Morven and her dress to perfection . We also designed Morven's mum Pauline's outfit and she looks stunning in her claret dress with organza tartan wrap and matching hat . The wedding took place in France over 3 days between 2 chateaux . Tres chic ❤️

We were absolutely delighted to receive these stunning pictures of Tracy and her daughter Christie who got married to Sean this summer at .
Tracy chose a bespoke design for her mother of the bride dress in royal blue satin and with matching hat designed by our very talented in-house milliner . It evolved from the original sketch over 3 fittings and we love the result .
Thank you Tracy for choosing us and we just love the photos from the wedding ❤️.
