Due to the lastest covid restrictions here in Glasgow, we have had to postpone our comeback to a later date. But keep posted, keep positive and most of all, keep safe.

Unfortunately, in light of the new government restrictions for central Scotland, The Glasgow Vegan Markets will be cancelled this weekend. ⠀⠀

We're completely gutted, and we really feel for those in the hospitality sector affected by this too. Hopefully we'll be back next month with all the best vegan food and products for you all! ⠀⠀

We'll be spending the next couple of weeks promoting local small businesses on our social media platforms, so please do support them wherever you can during this time. 🙋🏼‍♀️🌱

Remember us? After 18 months away – we have decided to return, albeit in a much smaller scale than before – starting with next Sunday at The Glasgow Vegan Markets oustide at BAaD (Barrowlands Art and Design Centre). You may have noticed a small change – we have changed our name from Cool Jerk Vegan Pies to just Cool J’s Vegan Pies. The name Cool Jerk comes from the song of the same name by 60s group, The Capitols, as featured in one of our favourite films – Home Alone. Also Jamie think’s he is a bit cool but can also be a jerk at times. However, when it comes to food, jerk is associated with Jamaican cooking. Having reflected on this we have decided to drop the Jerk part of the name as we are not of a Caribbean background or sell ‘jerk’ style food. However we want to stick to the original brand as much as possible and we think Cool J’s will work just fine. But don’t let this go to Jamie's head. He may now just be Cool now but he can still most definitely still be a jerk.

We will also be donating a percentage of any profits from our markets to charities that do a great job across our city and beyond.

Today marks the 4th anniversary of our first ever event. For one day only we were called The Really Wild Garlic Stall and sold jumbo haggis sausage rolls, wild garlic pesto and tubs of bbq pulled Jackfruit. Thanks to everyone who has supported us on our journey x
