Pushing the boat out and experimenting a bit with texture and colours.
I do these when I have a few moments to myself. I'll start with a colour or some fabric. I don't have 'a design' in mind, or even a vague idea of what I'm going to do.
It's more to do with how the materials feel in my hands in that moment, which way they want to move and go, what other colours I reach for (sometimes accidentally), how the beads fall into place (sometimes literally).

Happy tenth wedding anniversary to beautiful Gioia Mia bride Anne ♥️
I can't believe it's been ten years already - I remember making Anne's pieces so clearly.
So, I made a sparkly comb in clear rhinestone and different shades of teal (which was one of Anne's colour for her wedding), and a necklace and earrings in sterling silver, soft white Swarovski pearls and clear Swarovski crystals.

Gold-tone metal headband, with vintage components in gold-tone metal, green and ab green rhinestones, ab crystal rhinestones, finished with Swarovski pearls in gold.
It's incredibly sparkly and a bit of a statement without being too big or too heavy.

Some designs just seem to fall into place and come together seamlessly, and it's an absolute delight when that happens.
This was one of those. Beautiful gold tones, vintage rhinestones in green and ab crystal, and Swarovski pearls in gold.

I love this image of beautiful Gioia Mia mum, Jane.
Jane was very petite and wanted a little something special to wear for her daughter's wedding. She had picked the most beautiful dress that was pale blue with a gold, floral embroidery on it. So we based her headpiece on those colours.
I made a button base in a pale blue sinamay, and some curls and swirls in ivory and a natural colour sinamay. In amongst that ivory millinery veiling, were three bright gold feathers.
Something small and delicate can still make an impression ❤️

Absolutely love this image of beautiful Gioia Mia bride Cheryl ❤️
I made Cheryl some light-as-air angel wings finished with bows, that she pinned to the straps of her dress. We matched the colours of the tulle to the soft tones of her dress, and I decorated them with crystals and pearls so they caught the light as she moved.
I also made Cheryl some super dramatic rose gold, cubic zirconia, Swarovski pearl and crystal earrings.

A close up of Eilidh's lovely headband.
This was so dainty, in spite of it being incredibly sparkly!
Lots of Swarovski rhinestones, Swarovski pearls and crystals, silver lined bugle beads and silver leaves. All on a covered headband. I tinted the fabric for specially to match Eilidh's hair so it looked like the band totally disappeared when she put it on ❤️
