Although I absolutely loved this, I don't feel sad that today should have been Barraloadsoul's annual event dayer which began in 2014, things change and we had a successful run every year. My profound apologies to anyone who felt let down by my cancelling the gig, and I feel a little sad that I will miss a lot of people I would have seen at the alldayer. Just a big thank you to all the DJs who were going to play and who played over the years, to the fabulous Barras staff, especially Tom the manager, a great support and friend, to Karen and Alex and the rest of the team, without whose help it would never have been the success it was, to all the services people, sound guy Stevie and the rest of the gang, the load in/out crew. It was a mammoth task for all involved. But to the ticket buyers, thank you all so much, to all the regulars and everyone who turned up every year, so many far travelled. To my besties Tam and Annmarie, of Keniichimages, there are never enough thanks to you both for all the gazillions of photos taken over the years, you both work so hard. We have our wee monthly club going great now, since October. My dear friend Don Morris is playing next month, Don, from Sheffield, was to play today at Barraloadsoul but changed his bookings so that he can play at the BMW soul club in July, guesting along with other good friend Debs Broon, from Dundee and resident Franki McGraw. Just an extra big thank you to everyone who made Barraload the success it was. Will see a bunch of you at Piper Soul later. Love and peace to you all, Get 💜
