FAREWELL TO OUR BARRY….
As you hang up your apron after all these incredible years, we want to take a moment to celebrate you, your journey, and the immeasurable impact you’ve had on all of us. Firebird/McPhabbs/Nomad, from dawn preps to late-night lock-ups, your commitment, humour, and heart have been the soul of everything we’ve built together.
You’ve never just been a colleague—you’ve been a friend, a mentor, a shoulder to lean on, and the life and laughter of our team. You’ve shown what true hospitality looks like: making everyone feel welcome, seen, and cared for.
We’ll miss your energy, your stories, your playlists (even the dodgy ones), and your ability to keep calm when everything was chaos. But we’re also incredibly proud of you. Teaching is lucky to have you—just as we’ve been lucky to have you all these years.
Go and light up that classroom the way you lit up every shift. And remember: the door is always open, and you’ll always have a place here.
