We’re thrilled to announce Laura Wilson as the Lead Judge for the 2026 Scottish Aesthetic Awards.
This role was created to ensure that both medical and non-medical practitioners are judged with fairness, respect, and impartiality. At a time when the aesthetics industry is experiencing tension and division, we felt it was essential to appoint someone who could champion unity, integrity, and patient safety across the board.
As a Physician Associate, Laura brings a collaborative mindset and a strong commitment to ethical practice:
'My work is rooted in collaboration—supporting multidisciplinary teams and ensuring safe, ethical care within scope of practice. I’ve always believed that high standards and patient safety don’t belong to one profession, but should be upheld by all of us, regardless of background.'
She also reflected on her own journey in the industry:
'I’ve been on the receiving end of feeling inadequate, and I’ll be forever grateful to the people who saw my skills and potential.'
Her empathy and insight are exactly why we chose her. Laura understands the hesitation some feel about entering:
'The practitioners questioning whether they should apply are, in my experience, exactly the kind of clinicians we need to recognise—those who reflect, who care, and who want to get it right.'
Alongside leading the judging process, Laura will serve as an advocate for safety, helping ensure that finalists reflect the professionalism and responsibility our industry deserves.
'I’m genuinely honoured to accept and excited to contribute to something so important.'
We’re proud to have her leading the panel and helping shape a fairer, more united future for aesthetics in Scotland.
