💜 One of the best parts of what we do happens away from the shop floor.

Earlier today we were delighted to welcome Sarah Faith-Brown and Miss Kemp to La Pointe Boutique for a really positive discussion about uniform for future SLP College students.

As the official supplier of SLP College uniform, it's a genuine privilege to be trusted with such an important part of the student experience.

Over the years we've fitted and supported hundreds of SLP students, so opportunities to share feedback, discuss ideas and contribute to future developments are always incredibly rewarding. Equally, it's fascinating to hear first-hand about the thought, care and consideration that goes into every decision made by the college.

Whilst any future changes remain very much part of SLP's vision and decision-making process, we're grateful to have been able to contribute our experience and perspective to the conversation.

There were some exciting discussions, plenty of thoughtful ideas and a shared focus on ensuring students have the best possible experience as they begin their journey at SLP.

It's still early days and there is nothing to announce just yet, but we're genuinely excited about some of the conversations taking place and the positive direction things are heading.

A huge thank you to Sarah and Miss Kemp for taking the time to visit us.

One of the many things to organise before term starts is your SLP uniform.

Our uniform appointments give you the opportunity to:

🏆 WE DID IT! 🏆

We are incredibly proud and honoured to announce that La Pointe Boutique has been named:

✨ DANCEWEAR RETAILER OF THE YEAR – YORKSHIRE ✨

at the Yorkshire Prestige Awards 2026/27.

Five years ago, I took over a small dance shop that primarily served a single dance school. At the time, we had fewer than 50 pairs of pointe shoes in stock, a handful of coloured leotards, and a vision of what the shop could become.

Today, La Pointe Boutique is something I could only have dreamed of back then.

We now stock over 600 pairs of pointe shoes, hundreds of leotards, a huge range of dancewear for children and adults, tights in every style and shade, bags, warm-up wear, booties, accessories, costumes and so much more. We supply dancers from their very first class through to vocational training and professional performance.

But this award isn't about stock levels or product ranges.

It's about people.

It's about the parents who trust us to fit their children correctly.

It's about the dancers who visit us week after week.

It's about the dance schools who choose us as their uniform supplier and recommend us to their students.

It's about the schools we are proud to support across the local area, including being the exclusive supplier for three of the four dance schools in Garforth.

It's about the customers who place orders from all over the UK and around the world through our website.

It's about the dance teachers who trust us with wholesale orders, show costumes and performance requirements.

Most of all, it's about the incredible community that has supported us every step of the way.

This past year has also been one of the most difficult of my life personally, having lost my dad after his long battle with dementia. There have been days when running a business felt incredibly hard, and there have been moments when I questioned whether I had anything left to give.

Receiving this award means more than I can put into words.

It is a reminder that hard work, determination, passion and perseverance matter. It is a reminder of how far La Pointe Boutique has come, and of the amazing people who have helped make that journey possible.

To every customer, parent, dancer, teacher, dance school, supplier, friend and family member who has supported us over the last five years:

Here's to the next chapter, to continuing to put our dancers first, and to helping even more dancers shine both in the studio and on stage.
