🩰 A NEW POINTE SHOE IS LANDING SOON! 🩰

We’re very excited to be welcoming the Capezio Enni to La Pointe Boutique!

We never add a new pointe shoe to our collection simply because it is new. We research its construction, shank, box shape, platform, vamp and the type of foot it may suit before deciding whether it offers something genuinely useful for our dancers.

The Enni does exactly that.

With its flexible #2 shank, low vamp, supportive streamlined wings and moderately tapered shape, it introduces another valuable fitting option—particularly for dancers with a Grecian foot shape or those who need greater flexibility through the arch.

Every additional model gives us another opportunity to solve a fitting challenge and find the combination of shape, support and resistance that works for the individual dancer.

With more than 650 pairs of pointe shoes already in stock across several leading brands, we are still constantly researching, learning and looking for worthwhile additions. The right shoe cannot be selected by brand, appearance or popularity alone—it has to work with the dancer standing flat, moving through demi-pointe and fully en pointe.

We can’t wait for the Enni to arrive, explore how it performs during fittings and discover which of our pointe dancers it may be perfect for.

We came across a headline today that said it takes £60 million just to keep one of the world’s most renowned ballet institutions open.

It reminded me of something.

Here in Nigeria, Leap of Dance Academy, Nigeria can keep its doors open for an entire year, training talented young dancers, providing free ballet education, creating international opportunities, and transforming lives for less than £20,000.

It’s a reminder that impact isn’t always measured by the size of a budget. Sometimes, a relatively small investment can change the course of a child’s life.

Every institution has its challenges. Ours may be on a different scale, but our mission is no less important.

We keep going because we believe every child, no matter where they are born, deserves access to excellence.
