MELROSE. 🟡 ⚫️

I've been photographing the melrose ride out on the monday night for a few years now but that's about it,

until this week.

I'd just like to say thank you to melrose festival chairman, Eric Marshall, for asking me to step in as your photographer (even if it was under the most devastating of circumstances) and giving me the opportunity to photograph your festival week. It's been a pleasure getting to know you all a little better.

hopefully you wont have to wait long for the photos from the installation and the ball but starting tonight we jump straight into gala week so it may be a day or two until I can get myself back on track (no thanks to yesterday's two hour power outage!!!)

normally I'd now say I'm bone deep exhausted and off to sleep for a month but I can't because tonight is gala ball!!!

MELROSE INSTALLATION + CROWNING OF THE QUEEN 2025.

last night was a first for me, my first time attending the installation of the melrosian and the crowning of the festival queen. luckily it was gorgeous weather for such an important night.

due to a two hour power outage this afternoon I was unable to get these photos finished. I'm at the ball tonight in Melrose doing photos and straight into gala week starting on saturday but I will get these done asap and hopefully have them uploaded this weekend.

MELROSE BIKE RIDE 2025.

fronted by the lead cyclists, Lucy Brown, Melissa White and Iliana Finlay; Melrosian Lachlan and his left and right hand men Paul and Robin lead a cavalcade of an incredible 389 riders of all ages and abilities in the annual Melrose Festival bike ride this evening.

massive well done to everyone who took part!

MELROSE 2025.

well done to all 142 riders who took part in the melrose ride out last night.

at the end of the evening the trophies were presented by susan sharp to the youngest rider (off lead rein), best turned out rider and mount (under 12 and open) and oldest rider .

well done to all 130 of you who took part. the youngest and oldest riders to take part were presented with their trophies by this years braw lad and lass, Cameron and Hannah
