I'm super excited and proud to announce that one of my amazing students is making her debut tomorrow night in Frome town centre!

Meet DJ Mae, just turned 15yrs old, and loving being at the decks! I've thoroughly enjoyed teaching this young lady who is passionate about her mixing.

Pls come show your support outside Ellenbray 7-7.30pm, and enjoy the carnival festivities too!

I guess these are our version of the 'back to school' photos...

Tomorrow No1 goes back to Manchester, to move into his next home with his gf, and start his final year of uni.

Saturday No2 will be moving to Falmouth to start uni and a new chapter of life.

No3 started medical tuition last week and we are now regularly going to the gym.

I cannot begin to describe how proud I am of all 3 of these amazing human beans. We have all had tough times in recent years, but we keep going and are hopefully all finding our own way through this thing called life.

What music app do you use to stream music?

I've had the Spotify family plan for many years...and I know it is awful from the artist point of view, and the company is unethical....but being a neurodivergent family it is hard to change when you have years of playlists etc.

Anyway, time for some changes. So, recommendations pls, need to have it all in one place ideally, all kinds of genre.

After going to Weston Super Mare the other day, I realised it has been 10 years since created

Looking back, I maybe shouldn't have taken my young children 😅 but it also thinking back to it, about the different installations, I remember one that really had an impact on me.

It was like the boats you control at the fair, but the boats were mostly filled with people....but there were also some figures face down in the water....

I remember explaining it to my son (12 at the time).

All the recent uproar about people coming to our country in boats, this reminds me it is not a new issue. It is also a reminder that the people taking on this terrible journey are risking their lives. It is not just men, it is women and children. When it feels like it is your only choice, it must be terrifying.

I mean, would you risk your life to cross the channel in an overcrowded, small boat?

Refugees are fleeing from war and displacement they did not ask for.

They are not the problem.

So, it's been another summer of not doing much due to finances and mental health issues and exhaustion.

But, yesterday decided to go to the beach....and I'm terrible at planning, making decisions...we decided to go to Brean...but when we got there it was grim - crowded, arguing couples, noisy....so we moved on to Weston Super Mare....and had some fun walking the beach, getting food and seeing donkeys ☺️

I am notorious for getting an idea, poorly planning, things going wrong....but it is usually a funny adventure to look back on (after some time has passed and we are over the trauma 😅)
